Here we have for auction a Rare BMW 300 Isetta Bubble Car. This represents a good opportunity to purchase a restoration project with prices firming up. these are proving to be a good investment.
However. finding complete examples is becoming much more difficult and those hard to source trim pieces etc can sometimes make restorations costly.
Not so in this case as this vehicle shows every sign of being complete.
It is a restoration project but rest assured even the hard to find 'BMW Isetta' script front badge is with this vehicle.
As is normal with these early cars. it will require a floor pan. but do not despair. these are available and are purely a small tray lowered into the floor area.
The inner arches are sound (unlike most) and require minimal end repairs and not replacement. The outer front arches need work but I would suggest metal work repairs as opposed to replacements.
I always prefer to renovate original steel rather than cutting a good shell to pieces.
The choice is yours.
All the running gear is in tact and no items are missing.
I suspect no more than general overhauling to be required.
The exhaust system is in a very poor state as you would expect through being stored for many many years.
The registration is transferable and is on a current V 5 although I feel it would be such a shame for the car to lose it's original identity. but the choice is yours.
