Hi, for sale I have this 1977 Daimler Sovrign Coupe 4.2 barn find that has been off the road approx 25 years. One the best colour combinations of white with blue leather. Very saught after and much rarer than the Jaguar coupe. 4.2 litre carburetor model, more desirable than the V12 that has the complex injection system on. Was taken off the road to have a new water pump fitted and has never seen the light of day since. 87k miles believed to be genuine, unfortunately no history to back it up. Only approx 1600 series 2 daimler coupes were made making it alot rarer than its sister the Jaguar coupe. On the whole the body work isnt too bad, hole in passenger side floor, bits of welding needs doing but the car is certainly not a rot box. The beauty of it all been complete and unmolested apart from the fact something has managed to get in there and molest the drivers seat. Drivers door glass has been broken but there is another supplied with the car. It has not got the original wheels on the car but a set can be supplied at extra cost. The car is showing 11 pervious owners on its current V5 logbook, and comes with keys. Have not tried to start the car but was told by the original owner that it ran sweet but then had a water pump problem. This car is sold as a barn find restoration project. All in all a very rare find, daimler coupe projects never come up for sale so here is your chance to aquire, and these cars restored are rapidly climbing towards 50k. Can be delivered at extra cost.
