Hard to find RHD 1972 Oil Flap 911T with original 2. 4L engine upgraded to 2. 7 RS spec by the famous Bob Watson, delivering 250bhp.Originally Silver over houndstooth sports seats, which was an expensive set of options. The car underwent £30k worth of work at PARR to prepare it as a 2. 4E spec narrow body race car in 1999. It later got converted to an RS look with fibreglass bonnet, ducktail, front wings, bumpers and fibreglass rear arches over slightly cut back original steel. As such it still retains most panels in fibreglass. The engine was then upgraded by the famous Bob Watson using many RS/ RSR parts to create a 2. 7L engine that last dyno'd in 2007 at 250bhp. It was raced in Ireland at all the major tracks and often beat 3. 0SC's, with records of 1st and 2nd place wins. It did a couple of hill climbs before being retired. Aside from having new brakes all around and new front and rear light clusters to make it road legal, it's untouched. Options:1. Do nothing and store the car for a later date when it's worth even more.2. You could put oil in and drive it, but it would be pretty rough as it really needs a top end rebuild.3. Spend £10k on a top end rebuild, tidying up some interior an exterior bits, and enjoy it for what it is.4. Spent £50-70k doing a full RS or narrow body restoration. It would create a car worth £120-140k.Car comes with a nice folder of history and all the major works from 1999. Should you want to do a factory spec resto, I do also have a set of genuine recaro sports seats, rear shelf, rear seats, lower dash, door pockets - but those items would be at extra cost on top of the £65k asking.Price is fixed and I will only conduct viewings with serious buyers who understand what this car is and isn't (apologies, over the years, I've met a lot of tyre kickers and people who freak out when they see a classic car that needs work). In short, try and find a rhd 1972 car for this money, certainly with a 2.7 conversion pushing 250bhp. A penny less and I'd keep her; these are so rare they are climbing even if I jut store it.
