This car is NOT a project. That is right. Everything you would ever need or want to have done in respect to bringing this car back to its former glory, has been done. Originally had very little oxidation or rust to speak of (just some surface rust on the floor pans in front which was all sanded, treated with a chemical rust transformer, and painted with POR15 high grade best rust coating on the market that guarantees against further oxidation. The color of the car was changed to a slightly lighter shade of green. Professional base coat/metallic clear coat. (original was more of a darker neon green)
This car It is professionally owned and restored and is being sold as a useable (weekend joy rider and garage queen). I recently drove this by a local American classic car show and the old retired hot rod guys were chasing me down to get a look and ask me questions. In the rally or "RALLEYE" world this car is a legend and campione del mundo! World Champion of the World Rally circuit soon after the debut. It was a privilege owning but I need to pass this on to someone with an acceptable storage facility and an enthusiast who can appreciate an iconic car like this. I have owned some rare/unique vehicles such as 81 Delorean, 58 Fiat600, 74 Alfa Romeo Berlina, 74 International Scout, manual 2003 Tundra...Automatic 79 Alfa Alfetta Sedan Fiat 124 Coupe wide body (retro-mod). To name a few. All my cars were Rust Free (formally coming from Southern California as were my collection of unique vehicles. NONE were as rare or even close to as rare as this car. AND AGAIN Zero Rust. DailyDriver. Is 90% originale! This Legendary
Fiat 131 is the Super Mirafiori model won world rally in 1977, 78, and 1980. This is the passenger-friendly sedan. Extremely popular still overseas in UK, Turkey, Egypt, Spain and Australia where FIAT was licensed and rebranded as such names as Seat, Murat, Tofas, Lada but not many genuine Italian Fiat 131 left in existence. Barley any left even in Italy where they were originally produced!! This may have been one of THEE LAST remaining restorable survivor 131 cars in North America. The 131S Super Mirafiori features Dual Weber 40mm carburators' on the Original Lampardi DHOC 4 Cylinder Twin Cam 1800cc mated to a flawless shifting 5 speed manual transmission. This car features a somewhat high ground clearance, it is rear wheel drive with new shocks in the slightly shorter rear coil springs, rack and pinion steering, and front disc brakes. Must have for any classic Italian car collection or enthusiast! T
win 40 Weber carbs synced and run great! Very reliable and comes with EXTRA TRIM PIECES AND VALUABLE EXTRA REAR TAIL LIGHTS as well as Grill and original catalytic converter still in great condition as well.NOTE: I AM IN CONTACT WITH THE OWNER OF A VERY RUSTY PARTS CAR (1980 Brava) who lives within an hour and a half drive from me. He has with spare useable glass ( including windshield) as well as dash and possibly 2000cc engine as well.JUST TO CLARIFY, this car is every bit as nice as it looks in photos. I have more photos upon request. The only real defects *shown in photos* is a sight 6 inch corner windshield crack no longer able to spread (bottom passenger side corner. A rock chip in the top of the left side, (pictured) minor paint inconsistencies with how the metallic pearls were sprayed (some noticable spots that seem somewhat darker in areas. Also 2 or 3 dashboard cracks. This can all easily be fixed with the parts from the rusty parts car that I know of. I always kept it in mind if the defects bothered me that much but they never did. Also as a side note, I am a member of the FIAT 131 Super Mirafiori group on Facebook (surprising I know). Most members are from the UK, Australia and Turkey but every so often someone posts some very cool parts for the 131 ABARTH I was tempted to get some fender flares, hood intake, spoilers etc to make the world's only 131 ABARTH tribute sedan.Obviously it was too difficult for me to let go of the originality of this sedan model to make it an ABARTH but would still be very cool!Lastly: I must stress that I am a serious seller selling to hopefully real interested buyers so the $500 deposit is non refundable after the 48 hours of auction close. If you are too far to see the car yourself or have anyone in the area who may be able to see the car for you, I can post a video of it starting and running, driving. I am willing to work with shipping companies of your choice if you are a long distance buyer. There are so many car shipping companies.
