Re-Listing due to uncompleted sale.If you are looking for fins and chrome then you've found it!!I have owned this lovely 1959 LeSabre for about a year. Since buying it, the car has benefitted from a professional lower body restoration by Blackline Classics at a cost of over £6000. All four wheel arches and door bottoms have been carefully restored to all-steel, deleting all older repairs. A beautiful job by real craftsmen. The lower (white) half of the car was then resprayed in the original colour. The exterior chrome and stainless trims are all present and in good condition. Original correct hubcaps in great shape. All windows including wind-out quarter lights work fine. Blackline also fitted a set of new carpets (correct set in original colour from USA). The original seat coverings were removed from the seats, seams which had split repaired and then re-fitted to the seats. There are no rips in the seats. The interior is all original and looks great now. No sun damage to the dash top. Headlining is good.A new custom-built stainless steel large-bore twin exhaust system from the headers backwards was fitted in January by Predator Exhausts. The motor starts well and runs smoothly at low and motorway speeds. No gear changes as the automatic is just linear. Good whitewall tyres. All functions and instruments work apart from the water temp gauge. The speedo (barber's pole type) is functioning but shows way to fast compared to actual road speed. One spare hubcap and a pair of good rear "afterburner" rear light lenses go with the car.I have just bought an E-Type Jaguar and the Buick therefore has to go. What needs doing? Nothing major but:The power steering has become intermittent recently but works most of the time. Probably a valve problem on the steering box as the pump is clearly working.Could do with an electric fuel pump as after a couple of days the fuel drains back a long way and takes a little time to be pulled back up by the mechanical pump.Could do with new interior blue fabric door seals - the outer door seals are new so the car is water tight. The interior lamp is present but not working. The windscreen has scratching where wipers were not replaced in the past. Doesn't worry me.The boot floor has a couple of small holes which are covered by a steel plate. If I was to keep the car I'd get Blackline to repair them fully.Brakes work very well but pull to the left a bit and could do with adjusting.Dampers are soft and could benefit from a new set. Not expensive or difficult.I am not interested in a swap or part/ex - sorry.Check my 100% feedback - I'm proud of it.Please call me 07774 886995 or email  [email protected]  with any questions.Viewings encouraged. The car is close to J27 M5 on Devon/Somerset border.Happy to work with your contractor if you have the car collected. The car will need to be paid for in full (cash or bank transfer) before it leaves here. A £500 deposit will be required when a sale is agreed.
