I've owned this car 2 1/2 years and have loved every moment driving her but unfortunately I must make space in my garage for another project.

Since acquiring this car I have tried to research the history of it and was able to find out it was originally purchased in 1984 by the owner of several restaurants in Reading, which had the Strosek parts added on, possibly from new. The car then became part of a collection on the Isle of Wight. I purchased this from a friend who added the 150amp upgrade alternator from Carl Fausett at 928Motorsport in Wisconsin USA.

Since my ownership I have changed the timing belt, water pump, radiator, all drive belts and added a refurbished MAF from JDS Porsche.

The car runs really well but if you know 928's you'll know about these common niggles and as with all classic cars, she may require a littlie love and patience. Viewing is highly recommended.

Bad bits:

The 928 is a lovely looking car but at 37 years old there is some paint work it would benefit from. As the 928 has a galvanised body the paint tents to lift off on places eventually but doesn't tend to rust. There are also marks from a previously fitted aftermarket chin spoiler. Although these do not require immediate attention, it should be on the next owners 'to do' list.

The 928 has a Central Warning System (CWS) which was way ahead of its time in 1984. This would display warning lights on the dash to sense a blown bulb or a low fluid levels etc. Unfortunately as these sensors are almost 40 years old they are unreliable are very intermittent and cant really be trusted. Sometimes there will be 0 lights on and sometimes all of them are on. As with any car it is best to check levels on cars regularly yourself.

The interior trim has warped over the years and the AC doesn't work (possibly needs a new compressor)

To summarise, this is a very special rare usable working example of a 928.
