With a heavy heart i am selling my mini due to starting my own business and having to thin down my collection of non essential luxuries. My first car was a mini back in the mid 90s and i loved it so much that my second car was a better mini that i spent a lot of money on and used to go to all the shows. I always promised myself that i would have another one ,one day, and so last year i found Daisy Duke. To me she is the perfect mini. Basic as the day they were incepted but with the perfect modifications. Shes got an MG Metro engine with the big valve 12G940 head. Running a 276 Kent cam and a HIF44 it's the perfect mix of sporty fun and easy drivability. She sounds lovely with a LCB RC40 and is the most fun to drive. It has had the Cooper S front brake disc upgrade so as to keep the 10" wheels and has adjustable hi/lo's all round. The car was stripped and rebuilt back in 2010 i believe by a gentleman down on the south coast in his own garage and i got a cd with pics of the progress. To be fair he did a nice job over all but the paintwork is amateur. However it had a new front end and both front wings at some point as an insurance job after the bloke i bought it off hit a sheep on the moors, so this paintwork is somewhat better being 2 pack epoxy. The first thing i did when i got the car was give it a full service, replace the timing chain cover and gasket as it was leaking and also replace the radiator, heater matrix and pipes, thermostat and water pump. There is now lovely warm air from the blower and the engine coolant temp sits where it should. This mini starts on the button. Even after sitting for over three months during winter she started within 5 seconds of turning the key probably helped by the fact i only ever use Esso 99+ fuel which is still currently ethanol free in my part of the country.Ive been keeping the car in payed storage and have taken it out a total of 5 times and clocked up 338 miles which is pretty pathetic and slightly embarrassing. This car isn't concours by any stretch but it is a great useable fun classic car that will continue to be so for many years to come if looked after and loved by an enthusiast. Like i said, the paintwork isnt the best and would benefit from a decent spray job in the future. There are a few small patches of minor rust but really very little for a car of this age. Although its MOT and Tax exempt i would be willing to put a full MOT on her as did the owner who sold it to me, purely for your peace of mind.I cant really think of a lot else to say. If you have any questions please message me through ebay.Viewing obviously welcome and encouraged and i'll happily take you out for a spin.Located near Bungay in Suffolk. Thanks, Phil
