Hi. thanks for taking a look at my advert.

I bought this TVR Taimar at the beginning of the year. the old girl had been stood since 2007 following a bump to the front bumper / bonnet.

Back in 2007. the owner had replaced the bonnet and had it re-sprayed but that was it. the car was never finished and was parked up in a garage. put on SORN and had not turned a wheel since September 2007………. until now that is J

  So now having just completed an extensive 5 month re-commissioning by Adrian @ Exactly TVR (see details below) you may be asking why I'm selling. these are going up in value………you must be mad I hear you shout………. well. I've just bought another TVR and the wife flipped out. has said its “One TVR only” or "Divorce"………fortunately for her when I flipped a coin the Taimar lost and she won grrrr J

As the Taimar is in perfect shape. someone will be getting a fantastic and fully sorted Taimar as my energies focus on the new Trevor due to arrive.

So a little about the car

·         TVR Taimar 3. 0 V6

·         LFR 914T was built 30-Jun-78 and registered 18-Aug-78 by Hargreaves and Bailey. a Blackpool TVR Dealer. I also have a copy of the actual hand written factory build log and the DVLA reg documents by TVR Engineering Ltd

·         The car is featured twice in Iain Ayres book “TVR – All the Car's” on page 50 & 51 and extensively photographed by TVRCC Photographer Andy Hills (please ask and I can send you a link to view these)

·         She was originally supplied in white with a brown model band. but according to the TVRCC archive. the car was re-sprayed in its original white in the early 1990's and lost its brown model band (no bad thing). since then she has done very few miles and as such the paint work all round is still in great condition. there are no spider cracks or anything like that.

·         Genuine 91. 32 miles backed up by a full documented service history and I have all the old MOT's and all the old Service documents / invoices. In addition to the extensive service record documentation there are the original Taimar sales brochures. prices lists from the factory. wiring diagrams. Owner's manual (scanned onto DVD)

·         Full Major Service + new rockers covers / gaskets. electrical rewire / new voltage stabilizer etc & full shakedown just completed

·         New front calipers. pads. refurbished and rebuilt rear drums + fluid change

·         Re-cored radiator with Twin Kenlowe fans (with manual override switch)

·         New Battery

·         Rebuilt wiper motor

·         New “long” pedal box for a little more leg room

·         Rebuilt steering rack with the latest design aluminum rack mounts

·         Modified NS/Inner wing to incorporate the “in-line” blower fan modification

·         Carburettor stripped. cleaned and rebuilt with new gaskets etc

·         Sunroof in perfect working order with no rips or tears. externally or internally and has had the central "hood stick" replaced

·         Quick release bonnet hinge mechanism fitted + quick release waterproof bonnet loom so bonnet clam can be removed easily for access

·         New headlamps / chrome rims

·         Super rare 15”. yes 15” GKN Wolfrace Slot Mag Alloy Wheels. shod with BRAND NEW 195mm Michelin Pilot Sports (new Chrome center caps and bolts)

·         Chassis is very solid and excellent condition having been repaired / outriggers replaced etc just 12. 00 miles ago by Adrian @ Exactly TVR for a previous owner . Still in fine fettle

·         New bumpers

·         Great interior. brand new carpets professionally fitted and no rips or tears on any of the vinyl. refurbished original seats (foams & webbing)

·         Stainless Steel Exhaust JP Exhaust. the car will also come with JP stainless steel manifolds (these are not fitted currently)

·         Runs perfect water temperature and oil pressure

·         Everything works as it should with no knocks. bumps or rattles and is nice and original as the factory intended and Adrian has worked extremely hard to ensure this car is in tip cop condition. So much so she passed her first MOT for 7 years with zero advisories

·         The pictures do all the talking. she is Tax'd / MOT'd and ready to go and I'm sure if you ask Adrian nicely he would give you an honest appraisal of the car

The price certainly reflects the condition of the car and the money spent on getting her to this standard . but as I have a new toy on its way. I am open to "sensible" offers.

She is not a concours garage queen but certainly in the very good category IMHO. that can be driven and truly enjoyed right away
