Morris Minor Traveller 1962 in good old fashioned smoke grey and in good condition throughout with recently fitted external sun visor. This is the 'Delux' version so it has a heater, over riders and an ash tray!  Highly Original' car INCLUDING 59 year old wood (earlier wood better seasoned?) which gives it a bit of age and character.  In great condition for over 1/2 century old with brake servo fitted but still retains the drums instead of fitting discs therefore wheels less lightly to lock, they are so good you could stop on a sixpence (if you know what that is)! Has copper brake pipes fitted, immobiliser plus unleaded cylinder hea and belts fitted. A pleasure to drive/own with great character and 'very practical'! Comes complete with working 1960s radio pre push button (now collectable) which has medium wave/long wave only and crackles away nicely plus 1950s camera, flask, torch and unread Dick Barton Book!   I've even towed a vintage caravan with one of these cars!  Free road tax, MOT exempt, cheap insurance and a dream to drive with light steering, good brakes, light clutch, superb handling and easy to fix with 'great spares backup' and perfectly suitable for modern day use! Please note, this is not a split screen car and the metal strip is purely cosmetic and removable - the earlier 'clap hands' wiper arrangement allows for this to be fitted!  I've been into classic cars for many years from Austin 7- RollsRoyce and the Moggy is my favourite, one of the best cars ever built with its fabulous unburstable 'A' series engine which is very responsive and was later used in the Mini Cooper! This car has the 948cc engine which runs smoother than the 1098 cc with no difference in performance (I've had both) as the smaller engined car is slightly lower geared although this car has a 1098 cc unleaded cylinder head fitted which gives a boost! Minors are great, 'blows a raspberry' every gear change, what more could you want although this can be changed if need?  This is  a lovely old car. Can be run on a shoestring plus around 40mpg, it's no wonder younger people are starting to show an interest in them!                                                                                                                                                 Even if you don't buy this car my advice, 'get one' you'll never regret buying a Minor and if looked after, will never lose money on one either! I've had many top end over engineered cars over the years and the Moggy knocks the socks off most of 'em!  A Beautifully simple car, there's no need for PAS, ABS, ESP ECU or ridiculous computerised engine management systems riddled with sensors  as the moggy has a little adjusting screw for all that which has worked just fine for 59 years and not one vulnerable 'relay or silly sensor' in sight!  Free road tax and MOT exempt! Newly restored cars, although absolutely beautiful don't have the same character/patina as a genuine solid well preserved original car. Just purchased a complete new exhaust for just £65, how cheap is that!?  Refreshingly simple cars in this overly complicated world - when a university degree is needed to work the microwave !  DIY mechanics dream, all you need is a hammer! Simple cars like these made now would be a great 'hit' due to their simplicity whereas moderns are full of gimmicks eg. remote to open door = triggers a switch = triggers a relay = triggers a solenoid = triggers a latch = O.T.T. !!!  Great cars and fast becoming trendy and MADE IN BRITAIN !! Guess what, my modern has just broken down due to ???? Morris to the rescue! This car is clear waxoiled underneath therefore can see the bodywork (not black underseal to hide everything) and will be up on stands to take a look! Lots of spares..  I have a modern car with all the extras and drives great BUT I don't love it !!! On our highly congested speed restricted roads the Morris doesn't take any longer to get from A - B than a Porsche 911 !   Ask any MM enthusiasts what they don't like about MMs, you'll have a 'long' wait for an answer!  Genuine MM owners are also very 'hands on and not afraid to get them dirty but seldom need too! Forget pricey top end cars that constantly break down and cost £1,000s to put right as Moggies don't! My modern has just broke down again due to 'god knows what'! This could be converted to electric if desired!!!! The latest 'fad' now is everything has to be repairable/recycled and no more throw away - this is where the Morris scores 10/10 - it's time to go green!       There's nothing to be afraid of with any variant of a MM and any problems you may have will be 'minor'  and certainly a car of character when cars all looked different that stand out, now they all look the same! If you wish to break speed records (which is not possible on uk roads anyway) then it's not the car for you but if you prefer to chill out with a nice relaxed stress free drive with a car that really stands out, a MM is ideal!  To keep up with the times it's now named -  'Borris the Morris'!   You can't fail to love a Morris Minor and plenty of room for those golf clubs too !!!
