Classic Austin Mini 1275 Twin Carb / Cooper - Complete Nut & Bolt Restoration

Welcome to the auction of my stunning, fully restored, 1988 Austin Mini 1275. The car has been fully rebuilt from a shell with nearly all new parts over a number of years and finally finished this year. It flew through an MOT in March and has only done just over 400 miles since. The pictures dont do it justice so Ill try and describe the main areas as follows:Body:- Rebuilt from a shell and repainted in stunning Nightfire red. Completely Wax Oiled.- New sub frames & fittings, front & rear.- New glass & rubbers.- New wipers & jets.- New grille with recessed driving lamps (need connecting).- New headlights, indicators & Lucas Mk2 Tail lights.- New chrome bumpers front & rear.- New Tex mirrors.- New badges.- New locks.- New Monza aluminium fuel filler cap.Brakes & Suspension:- New front discs, pads, rebuilt calipers, all new lines.- New rear drums, shoes, rebuilt trailing arms.- New brake master cylinder.- New handbrake cables etc.- New adjustable lower arms, fast road bush set. - New Hi-Los and new shock absorbers.- New clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder & pipe work.- New steering rack.- New track road ends.- All new rubbers, bushes, dust covers, nuts, ball joints etc.- New 12" Ultralight wheels.- New Falken tyres. Engine:- Rebuilt A+ 1275 & gearbox- Unleaded Head- New Powerspark Electronic Distributor with matched curve.- New Lucas Sports coil.- Rebuilt twin HS4 1 1/2" carburettors on new performance filters.- Full Maniflow LCB Twin Box performance system.- All new engine mounts etc.- New alternator & belts.- New starter & solenoid.- New HT leads, NGK plugs & caps.- New hoses & radiator.- Fully Rewired.- New Yuasa performance battery with quick release connectors and separate isolator.  Interior:- New glass & seats.- New complete trim set.- Retrimmed seats.- New headliner, sun visors & rear view mirror.- Single clock dash.- New heater.- New heater switches.- New door cards, aluminium handles, pulls & winders.- All new Securon seat belts and buckles.- All new, 10 piece carpet set and sound matting.- Pool ball gear knob.- New heater cable.- New choke cable.V5 in my name. MOT with no advisories until March 2022. Two sets of keys. Receipts for new parts as listed.There will be many other parts that Ive not listed but you should be able to get an understanding from the list above that almost everything has been replaced! The engine pulls like a train and has a super sharp throttle response from the twin SU HS4s. Clutch and gearbox are perfect, slotting smoothly into all gears. The engine note is perfect, sporty, without being too loud. The handling is superb, being set up properly on all new suspension. The brakes are also excellent, being a completely new system. I think the 12" wheels give the best ratio of handling to braking. With the classic, single clock interior it gives that fabulous, classic Mini experience we all love and certainly drives better than I ever remember! It will have the odd mark here and there but rebuilt as described above so incredibly rare to find in this condition.Im a genuine classic car and bike enthusiast with 100% feedback.
