Range Rover Classic 3.5ltr V8 LHD 1981 in White This car is Left Hand Drive and has been in the south of France hence It has no significant rust (just sleight surface rust on the chassis), it has had no welding that I can see and does not need any. The boot floor, inner sills, inner wings and floors are all original, even the top and bottom tailgates look original and are rust free in fact all the places these get rust are unbelievably good. This is a numbers matching Car. It has the original 'Rostyle' Wheels and Power Steering. The Body is all good and mostly original paint. All glass is good. Mechanically it's spot on, it has a gas (LPG) conversion that looks like it has been there for many years that works fine and is a very professional conversion. LPG tanks are under the rear load this is where the original petrol tank would have been. This car has a custom made petrol tank at the side of the chassis at the rear. The spare wheel is visible in the rear. This could be easily removed if deemed necessary but you would need an original petrol tank. The engine is superb with an even tick over (probably a result of years of running on LPG) and is oil tight. Gearbox, Clutch and transmission are all tight and really as they should be, all Synchro's are good, it has an overdrive (probably a Fairey) on 3rd and top that works well, Brakes inc. Transmission Brake all work well and the car pulls up evenly. All gauges work apart from the battery gauge.  All to the point that I believe that the 79000 Km (about 50000 miles) showing is probably genuine. It really is pleasant to drive the doors open and shut as they should with a reassuring clunk. The interior needs a trim kit the headlining is new but is black (looks great but not an original colour). You can see all this on the walk round video I have posted on you tube (link below). In all this would make a great running restoration that you can use from day one, It has a current Mot but is now Mot and Tax exempt. I have the V5 and a BMI Heritage Trust build certificate saying it was dispatched to British Leyland France on 4th Feb 1981. This could be made into a really Special (and Valuable) Vehicle.Walk round video link:-  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lW6DBoZxpN4&t=58sThis is an Auction and will run to the endThere is no buy it now price so please do not askPayment by Cash/Debit Card upon Collection from LU7 9PQDelivery can be  arranged for £1-50 per mile one way google maps.Inspection & Viewing welcomed by arrangement before sale ends.
