This is a Japanese export model re imported into the UK in 2006. Paperwork present from DVLA and Japan confirm this.Car imported by Retrobarn in KENT and appears to have been in their possession until 2013. We bought the car in garaged it in KENT until a couple of years ago, it was kept in a dry garage and was barely used, it now shows 9K kilometres on the clock estimating this to be approx 66K miles in total.Used for the odd Mini show then driven up to Northumberland. It has run faultlessly in this time & covered about 1000 miles.

Again its been dried stored since then, mostly in a classic car storage facility.

We are regretfully putting the car up for sale as its getting little use & I have various other projects which are time consuming. This is a standard export model with air con etc only a few modifications which are easily changed back. The catalytic converter has been swapped for a new link pipe but can easily be changed back to the cat for mots etc, original cat comes with the car.It was swapped as the exhaust was too low. It has extended seat brackets.The car still has the export dials & speedo calibrated in kph. The engine and gearbox are great and it starts first time, every time. had no problems with ecu etc.The car is still in great condition given that its 27 years old & a Mini.It has not had any new panels that I can see & doesn't need any of the usual such as wings, a panels, floor panels etc.

There are faults with the car which are straight forward to rectify.internally the rear shelf speakers don't work but stereo does.Externally the main issue is the lacquer and paint work. Due to being in a hot country for many years, the lacquer has lifted in places and the paint has blistered in a couple of small areas, the front a front wing and slightly on the boot lid.The paint on the boot lid & and bonnet are speckled where someone has been too keen with a powerful jet wash. Where the paint has lifted, the original black panel can be seen underneath & there is no sign of rust.

We were going to repaint the car since buying it but have never got round to it & just enjoyed it for what it is. The paint does not appear to have deteriorated much as its been kept in a dry garage & can't recall it ever being used in the rain.This car is an ideal basis to use as an every day classic or give it a light repaint to make perfect. These are steadily rising in value & will not depreciate if looked after.

We don't need to sell this but its a shame its not getting used. If it doesn't sell & a new owner is not found, it will be put back into storage.
