Hi thanks for looking.Here for sale is a very nice Escort Mk1 Nimbus Camper.This is a genuine UK car built in Torrington in Devon.Only 200 were ever produced.I have lots of paperwork with this, as well as the original bill of sale.Also a set of spare keys.I've owned it for a few years and have been to many shows in it.Went to Mallory park for the Classic Ford Show from Cornwall in 2019 and it didn't miss a beat.Time for someone else to enjoy it now.You're more likely to see a RS1600 than ever to see another one of these models.A very, very rare car nowadays. When did you last see one if ever ?There is no differential or gearbox whine, it changes gear very smoothly indeed. Running a 5 speed type 9 gearbox and 3:54 RS differential.The engine is a 2000 OHC pinto 205 block. New cambelt 2019.It's on fuel injection from a Ford Sierra and unleaded so no worries with the rubbish new E10 petrol.Everything feels as tight as a drum.It's runs superbly, and drives the same. Sounds really nice too.You can't help but smile when driving it. Turns heads everywhere it goes.It is absolutely rock solid underneath with no hideous welding.It doesn't need any welding either.A few blemishes here and there to the paintwork, but then it is an old vehicle.Wouldn't take much to make it perfect.Interior is in good condition, converts to a double bed.Once the roof is lifted you have standing room, I'm 6 ft 2 and I can stand up in it no problem.There is a built in cooker & grill.Running water to the sink, again all built in.There is an onboard water tank that is under the rear.Lots of storage, including a small wardrobe.If I get a chance I will put it in for an MOT to give any proposed buyer full piece of mind.It flew through the last one with no advisories.It doesn't need an MOT as it is tax and MOT exempt being a historic vehicle.V5C present and in my name.It states "Motor Caravan" on the logbook.5 previous owners.Any inspection welcome. Any genuine questions please ask. More photos available.Anyone with less than 20 feedback 100% positive please make contact first or your bid will be removed. The reserve will not be disclosed. Not interested in part ex. Delivery can be arranged. Just to add, forget about photo 6 it's the worst photo of it. Old photos. Whoever put the stripes on was obviously visually challenged.It's all sorted properly now. Forgot to add, it's got roller top mounts, up rated coil springs, vented grooved discs, single piece propshaft,Full Ford RS alloy original sump, engine mounts, and bellhousing. Quick rack.Genuine RS mk1 steering wheel.I bought some Weber DCOE 40s on pinto manifold for it, perfectly jetted for this engine, which could be available.I don't need to sell, so please read the listing.To answer some questions.... It didn't come out the factory like this, its been modified obviously, but is still MOT and tax exempt due to this engine having been originally fitted to a mk1 Escort. It was originally flitted with a 1300cc engine.Basically this is a RS2000 in a Camper van.Yes it will drive anywhere. Yes it starts on the button having electronic ignition. Yes it runs on normal unleaded petrol. Yes tyres are quite old, could do with replacing. Sorry no I don't want your VW Golf in part ex. No the reserve will not be revealed. Bid to what you want to pay. No there is no 240v hookup. No there isn't a shower or toilet WTF !!!!!!!! Yes there is service history !!!!! ????? It's 49 years old just how much history do you want !!! It's not a bloody Citroën C2 2019 that you're buying for your daughter !!!!!!! Yes it will need some work, as do all classic cars, and fettling, and tweaking with, AND LOOKING AFTER !!!!! This is just a taster of the many, many questions I've been asked..... This is one of the reasons why I hate selling my cars... I'm exhausted, just buy it if you want it... If you don't, then please, please stop asking these daft questions. Thanks for looking anyway.

If you type mk1 escort camper in YouTube you'll see an old video b4 I sold it as a real sleeper very sad sale even named my daughter after this car all the best with the sale Ray
