For Auction:1987 Porsche 944 Turbo VIN (WP0AA295XHN152605) 104,9XX Miles/ Last Oil Change: 01/10/2021 Exterior Color: Diamond Blue Metallic (Paint Code: LM5U)This color was only available for the model year 1987 Interior Color: Burgundy Factory Option List:C78- (I believe this to be the code for the country the car was produced for) / 160 Cassette-radio Blaupunkt Charleston SQR / 26341- Central Locking System / 418- Side Protection Mouldings / 454- Automatic Speed Control / 650- Sun-Moon-Roof / 981- Leather Dashboard & Door Panels / 983- Leather Seats I purchased the car in 2017 from the owner in New Mexico. The owner claimed to be the original owner and said that there is a way to see that the vehicle was re-registered when she moved but that all 3 owners will come back as the same. I have not verified this, and am not interested in putting in the time to do so; however there is the possibility that this is a 1 owner vehicle. The last name on the owners manual, matches the last name on the title; however the title has a different first name. I purchased the car to work on in my free time; however I no longer have the time to spend on the car or drive the car. The windshield replacement and bumper re-paint were the last few things on my list. The car has a clean title in the previous owner's name. I have not registered the car, since it was purchased. Only 3,210 944 turbos were imported to the USA in 1987. I believe this car to be almost 100% original. The A/C was updated to R-134 and the fuel lines were updated. As you can see below, I have put a significant amount of time and money into the vehicle. This is the 3rd 944 that I have owned and repaired. Unfortunately, most of the seals and o-rings that I have replaced deteriorate over time so even low mileage 944s will need this work done. Below is the list of work that I have performed on the car (I have receipts for all parts below, see photo):New hood shocks, Flushed cooling system, Replaced Water pump ; Thermostat, Turbo Thermostat, Both Balance Shaft Front and Rear Seals; Housing Reseals, Crank Shaft Front Seal, Inspected Oil Pump Drive Gear (No wear, not replaced), Oil pump O-ring, Camshaft Front Seals, Timing Belt and Rollers, Power Steering and AC / Alternator Belts, Clutch Master Cylinder, Clutch Slave Cylinder, Master Cylinder to Slave Hose, Clutch (wear was measured at approximately 23 mm), Sway Bar Bushing (Passenger Side Only), Water Hose Flange Gaskets, Oxygen Sensor, Both Motor Mounts, Radiator Fan Switch (Comes On At Lower Temp Than Stock), Spark Plugs, Ignition Rotor, Distributor Cap, Oil Cooler Gasket and o-rings, Rear Cam Cover Gasket, Fuel Pump Check Valve, Fuel Line (Pump to Filter), Hose and O-Rings for Air Oil Separator, O-Rings for the Turbo Oil Lines, Dip Stick O-ring, Intake Manifold Gaskets, Braided Fuel Lines, Rebuilt and Flow Tested Injectors by Motor West Performance, New Fuel Pressure Regulator. When the seals for the turbo lines were replaced, I inspected the turbo shaft endplay, which was minimal. Interior: Driver and Passenger Seat Upholstery has been completely replaced, New Armrest Hinge, Replacement Interior Temp Grill, New Sunroof Gears. The interior is in excellent shape, overall. The Bad: Front Bumper Needs to be Painted, there is a dent next to the rear license plate, Needs New Windshield, Dash has typical cracking, Passenger Mirror Needs New Motor, Cruise Control Is Broken, The leather shifter boot does not stay in place, the original radio is still installed and powers on and off; however there is no sound. The speakers may need to be replaced. The current Hagerty value for this vehicle in “#3 good” condition is $14,000.00. I would consider this car to be better than good once the bumper is repainted and the windshield is replaced. If you are a serious buyer, feel free to ask me any questions, regarding work that I have done. I am not interested in any trades. Winning buyer will have 48 hours to make a $500.00 deposit followed by full payment within 5 business days of the auction end. This vehicle is being sold "as is", no warranty will be provided. The car is garage kept and I can work with the winning bidder to arrange for pick up or delivery.
