1969 Ex- Police panda car Morris Minor. Needs re-commisioning,Much work done

1969 Morris Minor 1098 ccHere at Real Life Classics we are proud to offer a lovely little ex-Police Morris Minor Panda car.It started life in 1969 and was belived to be posted to the South London area of the Metropolitan Police area where it was used a a panda /Unit beat car until the early 70's. There are two or three other very similar registered ex-panda cars still in existence.Following being sold by the Police it remained in the Cheltenham / Gloucester area of the country and i have a thick folder of history including every MOT from 1974. It appears that the Minor was used on a regular basis for many years being maintained / serviced / repairs as and when was needed. There is a receipt for a restoration 28 years ago plus lots of other interesting bills.The Minor has been stored since 2008 and a further restoration was started during this periodFour new metal wings were fitted and welding was completed underneath. Appears to be very solid with the usual Morris Minor repairs but all seems good. However I would suggest using a wire brush etc to go through the chassis and floors as a preventative measure. The paintwork is ok but  a respray will be needed at some point . The doors bonnet and boot are very good as is the boot area. There has been a small poor repair just infront of the offside rear wing that will need tidying upThe interior isn't too bad. It has a missing headling but has the holes for the blue light / police sign.The engine starts, runs and sounds in very good health. I have moved the car and the clutch is working fine. There is a brake binding on and the brake pedal seems soft so attention will be needed. I have fitted a new fuel pump but at the moment no fuel is coming from the tank so i presume that the tank might be clogged up. I may get chance to rectify this . I start the by pouring an 'eggcup' of petrol into the carb (video available of engine running).The electrics will need checking over and one of the rear light lens needs new screws. All in all this is a great project of a genuine ex Police Morris Minor which are now gaining an enthusiast following. A weekend spent tinkering shouls have it running nicely. I have the V5, loads of history and matching chassis numberI buy and sell classic cars and love the 60's 70's stuff. I will take a cheaper p/ex but ideally a cash deal as space is short at the moment. Delivery can be arranged at a great price but payment needed prior to transportation.thanks again for lookingAny questions please call Mick 07427641774
