My reputation, which should be important to you - 1,200 deals, not even a neutral comment. That is hard to do, really it is. That speaks to selling items to people and following up, and paying for items immediately when an auction ends.Rarity: People yap about the 25th Anniversary (which ran from late 1988 through 1990) and its 657 cars, like that is a huge number. First, that is 219 cars per year as the anniversary car was the most successful of the Countachs, the fastest by a mile and held the record for being the fastest car in the world for 3 years until the Diablo (its successor) took over. It even ran to 60 mph as fast or FASTER than the Ferrari F40. Now the F40 was not a real production car, thereby not qualifying it on modern day standards. The Countach ran from 1974-1990 a stunning amount of years...for any car. However, during that time only 1,983 total units were produced. That is it! I mean there are less than 2,000 Countachs and over 100 have crashed, burned or been used in movies and retired from the road...leaving what experts say is closer to about 1800 actual units. That means 36 per state, but most earlier models are actually owned overseas. The fact of the matter is - this car is rare, very rare, and they are not making more of them. The "50th" is nothing like this car and that was for good reason, it was to commemorate what the Countach did for the exotic car while showcasing modern materials.Climate-controlled personal commercial garage is kept at 69 degrees year round. No snow, no rain. The is the FIRST and ONLY POSTER CAR. There is no other car that sold more posters than the Lamborghini Countach. There is no other car that sold more Car & Driver, Motor Trend, and Road and Track magazines than the Countach. It appeared on the cover of all 3 magazines a staggering 17+ times combined. To put that in modern terms, it had its followers - and they all agreed - the car was something out of this world. This car is not for everyone, I will tell you that much. You must be willing, and I have owned McLaren's, Lamborghinis, Lotus, Ferraris, Shelbys, and you name it - this gets 100x the amount of looks of all of them combined. You MUST be willing to understand what this car means to most "car guys" and "car women" (who seem to ask many really good mechanical questions about the car - even better than men). Jaws drop, cameras are always out the window, you are definitely a celebrity to everyone because they think you look like someone famous (or that is the conversations you hear) and that is just the start. Go to a cars and coffee, I do not care if there is a brand new McLaren Senna that is $2M there, everyone wants to sit inside or take a picture with the Countach. 32 years later, it amazes people....and you must be ready for that experience or this is NOT for you.   It has been my experience not to jerk people around will foolish starting prices of $20,000 for cars that sell over $100,000 on reserve. Not only does that cost the seller money, but it is misleading and dumb. I list my cars based on rarity, mileage, condition, current market swings and a host of other factors. Right now, you are not finding this car, with this mileage, and in this shape, under $400k anywhere. Sure, you might buy one at Mecum or Barrett Jackson for $395,000, but don't forget their 10%-12% buyer's commission upcharge and lack of any real knowledge you can ask the seller (me) directly. I am not afraid of answering questions - the car is everything I say and more. I have nothing to hide. Beware of people who do not describe, well, what they are selling to you.Is this celebrity owned? Meh, depends on who you know I guess. I do not think celebrity status should matter. Should Jay Leno's car cost you more because he owned it? Now, Carroll Shelby is one thing, but a celebrity owned car (save Steve McQueen, ok, you got me there) is sort of money on top of money you do not need to spend. Can I be found on TV, Amazon, Apple, the internet and other areas of media = Yes. Am I a household name? Not just yet.My cars that I have sold on Ebay? These number well over a dozen including several Ferraris and another Lamborghini. One of the Ferrari's I sold became and remains the #1 highest selling Ferrari 308 GTSi in modern car auction history. Currently it is being sold for over $170,000 from what I understand and has under 1,670 original miles.I am a member of the Ferrari Club of America, Porsche Club of America and a host of other car clubs. I know cars and have been buying and selling them for 25 years. I buy and sell only the best cars, always maintain what I own, and get my cars inspected (you can clearly see the window has stickers showing emissions and safety for 2021) and road-ready. I have won Concorso events and never placed below a 95 on any Ferrari I have entered. I have CLASSIQUE'D Ferrari's including my current Testarossa with under 4,200 original miles. I successfully Classique'd the 308 GTSi with Ferrari of Atlanta. This is an absolutely stunning original example with less than 2,600 miles on the clock. All original car with European conversion front end. 25th Anniversary. Autocheck 73:UPSCALE - ULTRA condition. 73 does not mean it is lacking 27 points, it means that for a 1989 vehicle, this is in outstanding condition based on their algorithms. Year: 1989 Fully serviced by Exoticars of Possum Hollow (Frank Zeigler) from front to rear in 2020. Compression check as well as a sediment checks were performed (with all the lab results included) before any work began on this car. When nothing was found that needed to be corrected as far as sediment, she was fully serviced (with documentation and pictures) and brought back to her former maintenance glory. Clutch life is estimated at over 50% or more - no slipping, no noises, just fast and fun. She runs extremely well and will do whatever you wish her to do - or sit still and look pretty in your stable.Original tires are included with the sale - however NEW TIRES were placed on the car for safety and per manufacturers directives. All 4 tires are indeed original and protected by Michelin tire covers and are included with the sale. All the equipment, including the Alpine CD player are original and WORK! That is the important thing when buying a Countach - what actually is original and what actually works. This is entirely original and everything works, even the digital clock, speedometer, tachometer, gas gauge, etc. All of it works, and works as it did when it left the factory. NO DYING of the leather! NO fake radios.Manuals are included but missing leather folder. Original roll up tool kit was lost by the first owner, not sure how, but this is pretty par for the course as people did not use the ridiculous tools they had with it. You are not fixing your Countach with a few screwdrivers, you need a good mechanic and Frank at Possum Hollow was formerly a mechanic with Lamborghini. If you ask him, he will tell you just how good this car is - and it is a special one.A 25th Anniversary, with a wrecked dash, sold for $360,000 on Bring a Trailer in recent months. Since that time, the 50th Anniversary Countach was released for $2.6M as well as this car was registered (the black one) in the historic registry for its place in automotive history. These cars are priced overseas right now in the $510,000 range with such miles. Here, if you can find one with under 3,000 miles (2,502), and all the above, well, this is the price. Remember the odometer you see is in KM. Right now she reads 4,026 KM's.Odometer check: On autocheck report the common issue of people not knowing how to converse KM's to miles occurred. But, it would have been 2,220 miles which is in line with everything else. Owners: The first owner was a famous auto dealer and apparently bought the car new, never really driving nor registering the car until he was ready to drive it a little bit. Finally, in 2001 he did what he needed to do but actually "owned" the car for 15 years. I think CarFax is probably better at explaining it, but nevertheless, it was rectified. This is arguably the single most common occurrence with kilometer odometers in America is the lack of ability for people to know or convert what they see. They glance at it, write the number, and do not think! In any event, I am the third owner which is indeed correct. Low mileage is one thing, originality is another, fantastic condition yet another, factory certifying original document from Lamborghini of Italy is yet another and lastly the 4 original tires - and this has all of that and more. Of course a custom car cover is included.
