This particular example was fully restored approximately 20 years ago while still in the Fort Worth. Texas area.
Our inspection indicates the body and frame remain brilliantly solid and original! It has had just two careful owners over the past 16 years according to documentation provided.
When restored. this example was fully converted to 12-volt negative ground electrics with an alternator charging system.
This allowed for brighter lighting. more efficient starts. and the addition of turn signals & a water temperature gauge.
The brakes were also enhanced to utilize a 4-wheel hydraulic system at all four corners.
More recently in August 2013. the convertible top irons & wood frame were replaced along with a brand new Stayfast canvass convertible top! It will come complete with new boot cover and matching side curtains and storage bag.
In addition. the cooling system was flushed and new hoses & clamps installed.
Its present day condition makes for a nicely decorated and very drivable example! Ready for autumn time parades. outings across town. or confident long range touring! You will be impressed with this Model A no doubt! The odometer shows 7. 34 miles today. although the St. Louis Car Museum does not have enough evidence to support an original mileage claim.
A great investment that we are sure will not last long! Please feel free to call with any questions or to schedule an inspection to see it in person!
