This is a very good original condition 1940 Buick Super four door sedan, that was restored in the 1980s from a solid rust free example. It is painted in lacquer in the original two tone English green over Ludington green. The interior is mostly original tan mohair. The seats and rear carpet were recovered with like material during the restoration and are in excellent shape. Most of the wood graining is original with the exception of the Dash. The engine head was rebuilt in the 1980s and the bottom end was done in 2010. The car runs great at idle, but it will need a carburetor adjustment to make it drivable. The transmission, brakes and most of the lights work, but some of the gauges don't function properly. Steering is tight and well balanced. The chrome and pot metal has all been restored and is in great shape, with the exception of a small chip on the rear bumper from someone backing into a post. Other minor issues include minor moth damage to the original headliner, a 1/4" chip on the rear fender, some staining on the trunk mats, and some rough repaint around the trunk hinges. Overall, this Buick is in very good shape and would take very little to put it back on the road. Even though I have stated the issues with the car, I recommend inspecting this car in person prior to bidding, to ensure it is what you expect. If you are the purchaser of this fine automobile there is no warranty available or implied, payment must be made within three days and the car will not be transferred until funds have cleared my bank.
