Want something different in a Custom car? This 1948 Buick 2dr. Special Fastback Coupe is a running driving New York State licensed and inspected classic car.   This is a California car that the owner purchased in stock condition so the body is in great shape. having never been driven in the winter weather. He states that the stock straight 8 motor was a huge gas hog so decided to make it into a Custom.

 The owner installed a low mileage 500 inch Caddy with a mild cam and  new timing chain. a rebuilt turbo 350 trans. and a Monte Carlo front clip and rear end. this great running Custom also has power steering. power brakes. dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and was converted to leaf springs in the rear so it's a great ride. The chrome and stainless is very good. The white paint is old but should rub out and polish up very nicely. The interior is all there. except for the carpeting and in good shape but definitely needs a thorough cleaning.   This Buick used the same body as the '48 Cadillac but because of the straight 8 motor used. they installed a longer hood.

The owner is selling his collection of cars and so far we have sold an all steel 35 Ford Cabriolet. an all steel 32 Ford 3 window coupe and an all steel 32 Ford roadster. This '48 Buick fastback is the 4th of the 6 cars to be sold.   Left to sell is an all steel 30 Ford 3 window. and an All steel 39 Deluxe Ford coupe.
