I am selling our 1961 AMC Metropolitan out of my personal collection of classics to help fund another classic car I bought. This Metro is a survivor and is original paint. It has patina to die for and minor cosmetic stuff but is in really great solid shape.It has a ton of character! the floors look solid and the trunk pan looks solid. The interior is complete and is very usable. It is all original. The headliner had some tears but is there etc. The front seat looks good and the rear seat looks good. I bought this car out of a estate sale (see pics of when I pulled it out of the storage garage.) The older guy who had it parked it inside and it sat in storage for years. I got it home and noticed the engine was stuck. I lubed it up and it came free pretty easily. I ordered new tune up parts, distributor, carb rebuilt, a new slave cylinder for the clutch and brakes etc. It runs now. There was some smoke on a cold start from the lube I put in the engine to loosen it up, it is getting less and less the more I use it.I used it mainly for driving around my small town on errands and advertising in front of my dealership I own.It is at a level where you can have fun with it while you tinker with it and take it to whatever level you want. The brakes stop the car fine for my small town drives but they are a bit weak/ one pump or so to stop etc. The clutch shifts all of the gears like it should. The gauges are working and the lights are working. The tires are serviceable but older. This metro has the original hubcaps. I have extra parts that go with the car as well. This car has a clean and clear title ready for you to register.I do not want to over call this car or under call it, watch the video and check out the pics and call me with any questions 563 568 1186.This metropolitan is just a cute car and gets smiles and comments whenever I have it out.

I require a 250 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. if i do not get the deposit before you come for the car or within the time frame, i will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it.
