Please visit for additional photos, information and a video. What a treat to have this very rare 1940 Willys half-ton pickup truck in our showroom! This all steel real Willys has been street-rodded and is a real attention getter with bright red paint and Cragar SS wheels. The appearance for Willys in 1940 was very similar to Ford but still retains a style all its own. A black and red custom interior has been installed with bucket seats and a floor mounted Hurst 4-speed shifter. Stewart Warner gauges let you keep an eye on the engine as you grip the wood Grant steering wheel. That classic wood wheel is mounted to a tilt steering column that makes getting in and out much easier. Under the hood purrs a great running Chevy 327 CID V8 mated to a T10 4-speed manual that sends power back to a Ford 9" rear end! Front disc brakes provide plenty of stopping power for this cool pickup. The front end and frame are original 1940 Willys. The Chevy small block has been given a little more pep in its step with an Offenhauser intake, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, and dual exhaust. An aluminum radiator is cooled by a mechanical puller fan and an electric pusher fan with custom "Willys" bracket that is a great show piece. If you're looking for a great start to a collection, or to add a rare piece to your existing collection give this driver quality 1940 Willys pickup a good look! You probably won't see another one at any car show you attend. This vehicle is eligible for an Extended Service Contract through Classic Vehicle Protection.
