*VERY ORIGINAL SURVIVOR CUDA, ONE OF THE MOST ORIGINAL LOW MILE CUDA CONVERTIBLES TO EXIST HAVING HAD ALL IT'S ORIGINAL PARTS REMOVED, A HIGH QUALITY REPAINT, UNDERCARRIAGE DETAILED, THEN IT”S  ORIGINAL PARTS REINSTALLED STILL POSSESSING 90%+ OF ALL ORIGINAL BORN WITH PARTS INSTALLED AT THE ASSEMBLY LINE.

*This Cuda is in near mint condition condition and is show worthy top to underside. I have been around Mopars and attending shows the last 45 years and can honestly say I believe this Plymouth Cuda is one of the best '70 Cudas conv or hardtop to exist. The paint and detailing is worthy of being shown in a trailered concourse class even though this Cuda has been driven and not trailered. Being that 90% of the parts on this Cuda are the original factory parts, that is really a testament to how nice a survivor Cuda this truly is.

THIS ‘70 CUDA 383 CONV has a early build date of 9/19/69 and was among the first convertibles off the assembly line. Engine is the original one it was born with and is matching numbers with the correct VIN numbers factory stamped into the block vin pad. Still present are the factory original: fender tag, dash vin with original untouched rosette rivets still attached to its original dash pad which is in mint condition, cowl VIN stamping numbers, core support VIN stamping numbers, and original 1970 factory door tag. This Cuda convertible spent its whole life from Sept 1969 up till January 2019 in Sunny Dry California, Plus practically the entire time, it has been kept protected and stored inside a fully enclosed and insulated garage.  When I initially purchased it, this Cuda still had it's complete  original factory born with exhaust system which even to this day much of the original exhaust is still present. I have owned this Cuda for 20 years and it is in pristine show condition including the undercarriage, trunk, under-dash area, even inside the ash tray and glove box. The iridescent metallic lime green color always receives the highest compliments. The body lines, gaps, panels, paint, and entire condition in every aspect would make even a multi-Million Dollar 426 Hemi Cuda Convertible proud! Doors open and close effortlessly and still sound solid as new just like the day it left the dealer showroom. The Cuda's body, interior and all the misc parts were all in great condition when I purchased it so after driving it for a couple years, I decided to give it the show paint job and detail needed to make it a spectacular show machine including the underside to factory new appearance. All the original parts were removed from the body and the body was given a high quality show worthy paint job in the original born with  iridescent metallic lime green color. The undercarriage was treated to a complete detail to look as if it had just rolled off the assembly line. For longevity, some components like engine K-member and fronts suspension parts were powder coated. Most parts of this Cuda's factory original parts were simply cleaned, detailed and reinstalled including all the original: body gaskets, emblems, stainless steel trim, steel brake lines, steel fuel lines, gas tank, weather stripping, door window felts, rubber door gaskets, aluminium door sills, wire looms, firewall insulation, heater box, original (and completely original unrestored) front grill assembly, headlights, all glass, interior, even much of the original exhaust system remains with the Cuda including the factory original chrome tips. The original dash pad is mint. The black paint on the metal dash face and glove box is the original factory applied black paint from 1969. I have even left the factory original convertible top on the Cuda. (note; there are two patches in the top where someone back in the early 70's cut the top to steal items left inside the car). I have a “brand new” factory and concourse correct grain conv top from Legendary that will be sold with the Cuda that can be installed, but to date I have left the original top on the Cuda as how often do you see an original '70 convertible with the original top, a testimony to how well the car has been preserved. I know for a fact that this Cuda has not seen a drop of water since 1975, no rain and not even a hose washing. I only use a damp cloth and it is never driven if there is a chance of rain. Wanting this Cuda to perform, drive and be as dependable as possible, I elected to do "stealth" mechanical upgrades such as adding Hemi suspension leafs / torsion bars, added HD front disc brakes, chassis stiffening, Source 440 stealth aluminium heads, Comp roller cam, Comp roller lifters, Comp roller rockers, upgraded push rods, aluminium intake, aluminium water pump & housing, new Holley perf carb, electronic ignition, custom made U.S. radiator that looks factory stock, MSD ignition, etc.. Every upgrade was done in such a manner to maintain a general visually stock looking appearance. While the Cuda was painted and detailed approx 12 years ago, you would think it was just recently done as it still looks like new still. I have retained all the major original date code correct engine parts and they are cleaned, painted, and stored. If the buy-it-now option is used, I will include the extra stored parts in the sale, otherwise the sale is for the vehicle as it is pictured only. The correct “F60X15” Goodyear Polyglas Tires that are on the Cuda currently I have been told are original Polyglas GT Goodyears from the late 70's. All the tires have matching DOT numbers so they have been together as a set the entire time. They are in perfect show worthy visual condition but only suited for showing purposes due to their age so they should not be used for regular driving on or especially any highway speed usage. Currently the only notable issue I can think of is that recently the speedometer pointer needle started to bounce from the vehicles lack of use (brease gets dry on the speedo cable) which caused the very thin plastic needle to snap in half, so the pointer needle is short now, but still functions. In my older age, I am not up to pulling the speedo out and it never bothers me or the vehicle function so i have left it alone.

This Cuda is now physically located in Atlanta Georgia where I have recently moved. I elected to keep and maintain a valid California title (or “pink slip”as we used to call them in my day) in my name since Georgia is a no title state for older collector vehicles. The Calif title is current and non-oped so no back fees or penalties and the valid California title is what will be signed over at purchase. If you are a Calif resident, there will be no out of state additional fees to pay should it be taken back to CA.

I believe this to be one of the finest, lowest mile, most original, true factory #s matching big block conv Cudas to exist, and it is in concourse SHOW condition! Since this is only my personal opinion, I invite you or your designated person to come and inspect the Cuda physically in person during the auction run time BEFORE placing a bid. It is the buyers responsibility to do his own due diligence before bidding and purchasing. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick up here in GA plus all related fees to have transferred into the new owners name. It is sold without a warranty in "as is condition" since it is a 1970 vehicle with many original parts and the warranty ran out many years ago.

If you have any questions or would like to set an appointment to inspect the Cuda, email me or call me Kurt (626)602-4054
