A tribute to one of the most iconic Hot Rod's of all time: The 32 coupe used in American Graffiti. Just like this one the original was a yellow chopped 5 window coupe with bobber fenders, chrome wheels and a mirrored firewall. This car was built from scratch and has very few miles since completed.

EXTERIOR: It's a Davviki LTD fiberglass body. Classic 5 window coupe, chopped top and suicide doors. It has an exposed engine, 32 grill and bobber fenders. Upfront it has yellow painted headlights just like the movie. Turn signals are discretely installed. It has a chrome spreader bar and billet license plate bracket. The windshield frame is chrome and it has chr door and trunk handles. All new smoked glass. In back is a chrome tubular bumper and LED tail lights. Classic hot rod chromed steel rims on radial tires. The wheels are wider in back.

INTERIOR: Clean, simple hot rod style interior. New black pleated upholstery on the seats and door panels. The inside of the cab is upholstered in fabric. It has seat belts. Glass finish black dash with a set of white face gauges. Sun tachometer is mounted hot rod style on the column. It is a chrome tilt column with a 3 spoke cushion grip wheel. Down on the floor is a 4-speed Hurst shifter. It also has power windows.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The block is a 1966 L79 327-350 hp from a Corvette. New aluminum intake and dual quad set up with twin Edelbrock carbs. It has electric choke, chrome header/side pipes. MSD distributor, wires and a chrome coil. It's dressed up with chrome plated Corvette valve covers, chrome oil filler, gooseneck and alternator. The firewall is mirrored just like the movie. An aluminum radiator keeps it cool.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has been carpeted. That's where you will find the fuel tank and the battery.

UNDERSIDE: New Westcott frame. Muncie M-21 4-speed trans. New Speedway Ford 9 inch rear end upfront it has a drop I-beam axle, transverse spring, new shocks and Hairpin stainless trailing arms. In back it has 4 link triangulated suspension with tubular control arms and coilover adjustable shocks. It has disc brakes at all four wheels, new hoses, brake lines and master cylinder. Looking up at the motor it is spotless, new fuel pump, solid engine mounts and starter.. It has an M-21 Muncie 4-speed transmission. A new drive shaft connects to a new Speedway Ford 9 inch rear with 31-spline axles.

This is old school cool. It's not your Father's Lexus, it's a hot rod! People will see and hear you coming.

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

About Volo Auto Museum

No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.

Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.

Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn't have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else's.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn't sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
