Very rare MANUAL GEARBOX SUPERCHARGED JAGUAR XJR (factory fitted Getrag 5 speed manual gearbox and supercharged straight six 4 litre engine).

Relisted due to timewaster

P/X or trade (up or down) considered for something pre 1981 (no major projects please, thank you).

Here I offer for sale my very, very rare 1996 X300 FACTORY 5 SPEED GETRAG MANUAL GEARBOX Jaguar XJR (straight six 4 litre supercharged engine). I believe there were only around 100 of these cars built, so how many will be left?

Bulletproof Straight six 4 litre supercharged engineGetrag 5 speed manual gearboxBlack with grey/beige leatherOriginal wheels with excellent tyres (minor scuffs)173k DVLA/MOT documented miles (I have EVERY MOT from new)Only 3 previous ownersSome early history only, but loads of subsequent bills and invoicesHowever, comes with EVERY MOT from newDocumentation wallet with service book and drivers manualsMaster/valet key presentNew clutch fitted in 2014, only a couple of thousand miles ago (around 170k miles)Alternator reconditioned 1k miles agoDrivers really well and is very, very quickExcellent condition inside (normal Jag headlining sag excepted!) and VERY good overall condition

The car is completely stock as far as I am aware (different radio?) and IMHO is in VERY good condition for a model of this age and mileage. There is no discerning rust to the bodywork and all the wings/arches are 100% solid. I have owned the car since 2014 (only 3 previous owners too), it has been barely used and stored indoors during that time, although I did have it MOT'ed on a yearly basis.

However, even though it still has an MOT and is in very good condition (imho), it is being sold as ‘spares and repair' for the following reasons, nothing major but a list of minor re-commissioning jobs required after a long period of inactivity. Please take these minor issues into consideration when considering buying:

There is a small dent right on the front of the bonnet where I dropped something onto it, it should pop out and can just about be seen in the pics (above the nose badge). The body does have a few tiny storage marks and minor scratches here and there, but they are relatively small and nothing major that a decent polish would probably sort out. The paintwork overall shines up very well (considering its black!). The car will need minor welding to both front inner sills for its next MOT. I am told that is not a great deal or a huge job (6-9” section), but will need doing. The alternator belt snapped (car standing too long unused!) and therefore it cannot be driven any distance (for obvious reasons). I will try and fit a new belt before sale, but can't guarantee it.Calipers are also sticky due to lack of use, but previously they have freed off themselves after driving a while. The driver's seat movement control unit in the base has popped out slightly (holding clips are broken) – still all works as it should though. The driver's seat bolster has very minor wear. The headlining has some sagg in the rear (typical Jag issue). The chrome tip on the nsr exhaust silencer dropped off (I still have it).The battery is flat and no longer holds charge. However, it does retain charge long enough to start and demonstrate that the engine and box are all good, and to facilitate driving onto a trailer for loading purposes, etc.

Having said all that the car is very presentable 'as is' and will take very little effort to make it beautiful again. I just believe in listing ALL known issues (minor and/or major) so there are no surprises and the buyer knows exactly what they are buying. This car goes very well indeed and is a nice un-messed with example, a rare and appreciating retro classic Jag.

Please note that the private registration shown in the pics do not come with the car, it will be on an ‘N' registration plate - N748 JLT.

This car is from my private collection, I am not a trader and the car is ‘sold as seen' with no warranty given or implied. A non-refundable deposit of £250 is to be paid by bank transfer immediately on an agreed sale, with the balance paid and the car collected within a further 7 days. Collection only, although delivery might be possible depending on location and timescales (please message for quote).

Please remember that the car cannot be driven away and will have to be lifted and transported to its new owner. I am happy to assist with loading at this end if required.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and I will answer to the best of my ability. Socially distanced viewings are very welcome too.

Cheers,

Kevin
