EXTERIOR
This low mileage, low owner RS Cosworth looks fantastic in lustrous Moonstone Metallic. The paintwork presents to a very high standard throughout with only a small number of light frontal stone chips to report. There are no unsightly scuffs, scrapes or scratches to be found, and along both sides the panels remain straight and true. The lights are also in excellent shape, all damage-free and with no signs of any moisture ingress. All in all, a cossetted example looking every bit the low mileage of 48k.

INTERIOR
The '90s cabin remains in superb order throughout. The deeply bolstered Recaro seats are upholstered in Raven leather showing few signs of use, with other commonly worn items such as the steering wheel and gearknob in lovely condition too, both still retaining great textured finishes. There is no damage to any of the centre console or dash trims, the switchgear is reassuringly solid to operate, and even the original Ford cassette radio is still in place for a truly period-correct appearance.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The engine bay is also particularly tidy, with no signs of any damage or poor repair to be found. The hand-assembled 2-litre powerplant features an aluminium cylinder head with twin overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. Forged aluminium pistons, heat-treated steel connecting rods, a compact Garrett turbocharger, and a sophisticated electronic engine management system are some of the other technical refinements that really set the RS Cosworth apart.

In May 2018 the current owner spent in excess of £6k on lightly re-commissioning the car after a few years of storage. Works included a cambelt change, service, cylinder head strip down and reface, injector strip down and clean, new water hoses, new brake hoses and brake fluid, a new battery, new heat shield, and a bespoke Longlife exhaust system. Since arriving with us the car has been fully inspected by our trusted classic car specialists for the new keeper's peace of mind.

WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The Sierra sits on its factory 15-inch alloy wheels, all in good order with only minor age-related wear to speak of. At the current mileage the car has just been treated to a brand new set of Toyo tyres, as well as new brake pads and discs all round.

HISTORY FILE
This fantastic Sierra RS Cosworth 4x4 was first registered in June 1991. It was supplied new by Peoples Liverpool Limited and has now driven a mere 48k miles in the hands of just three keepers. The current owner purchased the car way back in October 1997 and has cherished it ever since. To preserve its low mileage the Sierra has seen only very light use in recent years, and so in 2018 some minor recommissioning work was carried out at a cost of over £6k. A further £940 has just been spent preparing the car for sale with all new tyres, pads, and discs.

The History File is complete with the original Peoples Ford document pack including the service booklet and all owners' manuals, a raft of maintenance invoices and period ownership documents, MOT certificates, and original sales brochures.
