Made the decision to let my escort go, I love this car, had it a while now and use it almost every day, always been 100% reliable, and gets attention everywhere it goes, really unsure about selling it , but money makes the world go round as they say. The car spent much of its life being used on a camp site in Austria as a bit of a work van, after being taken off the road in the nineties, until it was rescued in 2018 , imported to uk and restored on a tv show over here (episode still available on uktvplay), when it had some pretty major work including new genuine old stock front wings, full front panel, sills, rear arches, and lower rear quarter repairs, bottom half of the car was then repainted , and the stripes were added, along with lowered suspension, brand new wheels and tyres, new clutch, new brakes all round and an engine service , interior wise the carpets were replaced and drivers seat retrimmed in the correct cloth .

I've enjoyed going to shows and meets with the car, it gets masses of interest , seems to be a bit of a talking point being an estate and also left hand drive , still has its original 1300 engine and 4 speed box so overtaking isn't an issue as with more powerful left hookers :) but it does drive really nicely and as I say mega reliable, and very economical , I'd jump in it tomorrow and drive it anywhere. This will be an affordable mk2 escort that you can jump in and take out straight away.
