1967 Camaro Original SS350 car. Originally Royal Plum with white SS stripe, black vinyl top and black interior. You can also find a FB page for additional pics and information at "1967 Camaro SS350 restoration" It shows everything done to the car since purchase. Please consider what this car has to offer. It is a complete car with a great drivetrain, solid body and it runs / drives.Walk around video with car running.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGcxCk_y_OcThe drivetrain has all been changed and is non-original to the car.The engine is a 502ci / 502hp GM Performance crate engine. Google it, all the good stuff in it for a dependable 500 HP. New is 10kAdd a high-rise intake manifold, Demon carburetor and MSD ignition.Performance built TH400 automatic transmission. Ford 9 inch differential with Strange axles.Runs and drives. I have driven it around here at the shop a lot but not many true street miles. Always starts easy and runs good. The drivetrain was in the car when I purchased. Fluids all look good. The guy I bought it from had it for 20 years. He had done some paint removal on the roof, cut off the left rear quarter panel and removed the windshield. He said he had never really driven the car and that the drivetrain didn't have many miles on it. When I bought it my goal was just to put it on the road. But after cleaning it and working on it I felt it deserved a little more attention. Once I had removed all non factory paint, primer and filler you could clearly see the original body panels. I final sanded to bare metal and used PPG DP90LF epoxy sealer. It is ready to begin body work. The body is 85% original sheet metal with minimal rust issues. The few panels that have been replace are the LH rear quarter panel (aftermarket 1/2), trunk lid (used GM) front header panel (Replaced long ago, looks GM) and the LH front driver side floor pan (aftermarket). I was able ( in my opinion ) to locate and preserve what you see of the original Royal Plum color and factory white SS stripe on both front fenders. I have the original SS hood and front bumper with brackets. The door jambs are in great condition and show a lot of original Royal Plum paint. The rear quarters have typical rust around the wheel wells for a first generation Camaro. The right front fender has a small spot. That is all the rust issues. The rest of the car is rust free and was stripped to bare metal. My point is that you know exactly what you are buying. Yes, it needs body work and paint but does not need extensive body replacement. I posted some pics of the panels with factory Royal Plum paint and some of the final sanding of the sheet metal before sealer. This is what I would do to any car I was preparing for body restoration. The LH rear quarter panel is on the car with just about 30 welds, just enough to secure it to the car. Not sure what someone else would want to do with the car so I did not want to invest time into a quarter panel that someone may not want to use. Both quarter panels could potentially need replaced. Both could also be saved and used. The floors and trunk are solid with no rust issues. It had sub frame connectors on it so the floors have some dents. The LH front floor has been replace with aftermarket part by previous owner. I installed new front body / frame bushings to improve alignment of the front sheet metal. The chassis looks original to the car and could use some new bushings. The brake pedal is soft and could use some additional bleeding but I have not been able to improve the situation. This was a drum brake car that was converted to discs by the previous owner. I would recommend a complete brake system upgrade. The one issue that needs attention to be road worthy. This was a factory vinyl top car and I would reinstall one. I painted the roof, window channels and top of the dash in preparation of the glass and a new top. The front and rear glass have been reset with new adhesive. Front windshield is new while the rear glass is the original. The side glass is original to the car and all goes up and down with a little help. Could use some new rollers. They are complete and in the car. I put new weather-strips around the car because I wanted to drive it as is. Doors, roof rails, trunk lid are new. The interior is all there but will need a kit. Carpet, dash pad, seat covers, headliner, door panels and so on Seats are bolted down and the car is drivable. Original dash, steering column, standard speedo and gas gauges, neither is working and there is no horn. The center area of the dash has been changed to 4 autometer gauges in stead of heater controls and radio. There is no heater assembly and no windshield wipers assembly at all. Headliner bows and original door panels still in the car. Headlights, taillights and turn signals work as they should. No draw on the batteryTrunk video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyAr6Am2rBEThis in my opinion is a very solid core car that can be driven as is. With a 502 big block / 500 HP GM Performance parts engine. If you are looking for a car to mini tub, drag race, street car or build into a show car this one has tons of potential. Image it Royal Plum with white SS stripe, black vinyl top and black interior. Only year for a Royal Plum color option. Add in the fact it is a real SS350 car and it could be something outstanding. There is room to finish this car and have it be a profitable investment in this growing market of muscle cars and first gen Camaros. Selling as a "project car" through my Kansas Auto dealer license. There is no implied warranty, sold as is.Not yet road worthy, will need a trailer ride home.Email with questions. More pics available upon request. Thanks for looking.
