EXTERIOR
This facelift E46 Alpina's unassuming exterior looks superb in Mystic Blue Metallic, the paintwork remaining in truly great order throughout. The car is lovely and straight along both sides with no unsightly scrapes to report, even to commonly scuffed areas such as the front spoiler, sills, etc. Being really picky there is a dusting of light frontal stone chips to the leading edge of the bonnet consistent with the mileage, further evidencing the car's honesty. Up top the dark blue hood is extremely well presented, operating smoothly at the touch of a button, and the removable hardtop is pristine.

INTERIOR
The deeply bolstered seats are trimmed in soft Montana leather that retains a rich texture throughout. Tastefully finished with Alpina detailing the sports seats are also heated and electrically adjustable for optimal driver and passenger comfort. The driver's bolster is in surprisingly good shape with no rips or damage to speak of, and the front central armrest is unworn. Looking along the centre console there are no major scratches, the walnut trim retains a lovely glossy sheen, and the switchgear is still reassuringly solid to operate. At the rear the seats are still in perfect condition, and in the footwells the carpets are well protected by the original set of Alpina overmats. All in all, a very well presented interior, the only upgrade over factory being a more modern Kenwood touchscreen head unit.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The 3.4-litre Alpina-tuned straight-six offers effortless smooth driving while very much packing a punch when you need to get a shift on. The 5-speed Switchtronic gearbox is a perfect match, boasting almost undetectable gear changes that can also be controlled manually via buttons on the steering wheel. The low mileage of 85k is well documented with 9 service stamps in the accompanying Alpina maintenance booklet. The history is all BMW main dealer up right until 82k miles, and the most recent service was carried out in June 2021 at 85k.

WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The stunning 18-inch Alpina Classic alloys present impeccably having previously been refurbished to the highest standard by Lepsons. They are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport tyres all round with ample tread remaining at each corner; new rear tyres were fitted in August 2020 at circa 84k miles. The brakes have also been checked and remain in fine operational condition, bringing the car to a halt quickly and in a straight line.

HISTORY FILE
As one of only 161 UK B3S convertibles this handsome facelift E46 is a rare beast indeed. It was first registered in June 2004 and has now driven 85k miles in the hands of only two keepers, the current owner having purchased it in July 2007 when the car was just three years old. It is number 150 of the 292 produced.

The Alpina has been well maintained throughout its life with full BMW main dealer history right up until 82,236 miles. Even with the limited mileage covered since, two additional services have been carried out independently, the last one having only recently been done in June 2021 at 85,074 miles. Since arriving at 4 Star the car has been fully inspected for the new keeper's peace of mind.

The History File is complete with the Alpina leather document wallet, all handbooks including the original service book, a stack of invoices, spare keys, and every MOT certificate since new, further verifying the mileage. The MOT is valid until November 2021.
