Looking for a fast. reliable street/strip car?  I purchased this car a year ago with a lot of the work already done but wanted to build it to be a 9 second daily driver. It is not currently my daily driver but it was for many months. It runs hard and gives no drama. I can drive it to work and then drive it to the track after work. air down the tires. click off consistent 9 second passes. air up the tires again and drive it 50 miles home. It has about 200 trouble free miles and 6 passes on the fresh motor in it.   It is one of the most reliable muscle cars I have ever owned and has never failed to fire up and drive great. Runs on pump gas 91 with a blend of torco.  I did not intend to sell the car so soon but another opportunity has come up that was too good to pass up.

 

                 The stereo. windshield wipers. fuel gauge. tachometer. water temp. oil pressure. voltmeter. dome light. headlight. reverse light and brake lights all work great.   The windshield wiper motor has been removed for aesthetics in the engine compartment but still works fine and is included.   Car has dual electric fans; aluminum radiator and HV water pump and can sit in heavy hot traffic all day and never overheat.   Car hooks and carries the tires and tracks very straight.  

 

                This car is extremely nice.  The panel fitment and quality of the paint and body are awesome and will stay that way because it was done right.  It is not a show car and it's not perfect. but it's a blast to drive and is NHRA legal to 10. 00 seconds. It runs in the 9's but will need additional cage. parachute. and window net to do so without being kicked off the track. I've included the cost of each build section so you have an idea of what you are bidding on and the quality of parts used.  I have around $45. 00 invested in this car including the car itself. I have receipts for most of the stuff on the car and these are included in the sale.   I also have hundreds of photos but ebay would only allow me to post 24.

PAINT & BODY: $9. 00. 00

                The car was completely taken apart to the last bolt and nut.   The body shell. doors. trunk. hood. cowl. frame and all loose parts where dipped to bare metal. The car was very rust free as you can see in the pictures.   The wheel well area of the rear quarter panels and the tail panel were replaced with new sheet metal from Classic Industries.   Marker light holes smoothed.

                All bare metal parts were epoxy primed before being painted.   The body is painted with DuPont Hot Rod Black.   This is a UV stable urethane paint that stands up extremely well and has a menacing look and everyone always comments on how unique it is.   The great part is if you wanted the car another color. all it would take is to block the paint with 400 grit and base/clear in the color of your choice.

                All door. window fuzzies. trunk and glass channel weather-stripping is new.   New front windshield.   All stainless trim has been polished.   The hood trim. grille eyebrow moldings. door handles and locks. bumpers. door hinges and bolts/nuts are new.

               

CHASSIS STEERING: $6. 00. 00

                The front suspension has new tie rod ends. ball joints. springs and Competition Engineering 3 way adjustable shocks.   The steering box is a late model quick ratio with power steering.   The factory steering rag joint has been replaced with a Flaming River ball bearing unit as well as new Flaming River Steering Column.   The rear suspension is Art Morrison Ladder Bar with panard bar.   The coil over shocks are HAL adjustable.   All brakes and master cylinder are Wilwood Heavy Duty street series and this thing will stop on a dime!  The front clip has frame connectors to the rear body as well as tying into a 6 point roll cage.  Aluminum body to frame mounts.    The cage is NHRA legal . 120" 1 5/8" mild steel and is TIG welded. Suspension limiters in the upper control arms to help control the wheelstands.

 

ENGINE: $8. 00. 00

                406" square decked. align honed. torque plate honed. Eagle 5140 balanced rotating assembly. forged pistons. Trick Flow aluminum heads (fully ported and polished by West Coast Cylinder Heads. Trick Flow 1. 5 roller rockers. American Custom Cam solid camshaft 110 LSA. 264 @ . 050. . 585 lift. Crower lifters with oil hole. timing chain and custom pushrods. and LS Beehive valve springs with Titanium Retainers.   All ARP fasteners and oil pump drive. King bearings.  New Melling oil and water pump. Milidon oil pickup and 7 quart pan with baffle.   Port matched  Victor Jr intake and Holley HP 750 carb top it off. A 100-amp single wire alternator. aluminum valve covers. and Hooker Headers.  Engine was assembled at Nelson Racing Engines in Chatsworth. CA. Car was Dyno'd at HK Motorsports in Van Nuys. CA and made 430 RWHP on motor and it is setup with a 200 shot of nitrous on top of that putting RWHP at approximately 630 on spray.

               

FUEL & IGNITION: $3. 00. 00

                Summit aluminum fuel cell with sending unit. Edelbrock Performer RPM mechanical fuel pump with high output Aeromotive fuel pump for nitrous system. Barry Grant regulator with return fuel line and gauge.   Braided stainless Aeroquip lines. fittings and carb line. Lokar braided throttle cable.  

                MSD Digital 6 Plus ignition box with rev limiter. two-step. and ignition retard for nitrous. MSD coil. Moroso wires with thermal sleeves. MSD Pro billet distributor.  

 

NITROUS: $1. 00

            Nitrous Outlet 4150 GEN III Stinger Plate System (50hp – 500hp). with Remote bottle opener. Automatic Bottle Heater Billet bottle bracket. Purge kit. Blow down tube. Adjustable Bottle Pressure switch and Pressure Gauge.

               

TRANSMISSION: $1. 00. 00

                TCI turbo 350 street trans. 10" stall Dice convertor. SFI flywheel. higher rpm governor. auto/manual shift kit.   Shifts are tight and fast!  New thick wall driveshaft with 1350 series HD u joints. Has HD tranny cooler up front.

 

REAREND: $3. 00. 00

                Moser Engineering Ford 9". 40 spline spool. Nodular Iron Moser center section. fully braced housing. Aluminum pinion support. 1350 series u joints. 40 spline axles with 5/8" studs. 4. 30 US made gears. all Timken bearings.   This is a 2500 horsepower rated rear-end. Also included are 3. 70 gears if you plan to do more highway driving.

 

INTERIOR: $2. 00. 00

                New carpet & padding. glove box. firewall insulation. Frost King sound/thermal insulation under carpet. new pedal pads. inner door handles. headliner & sail panels. lightweight seats with dual sliding mounts. Pyrotect 5 point harnesses. Kenwood CD player. although rear speakers have been removed to pass tech (I was planning on putting speakers in the kickboard and never got around to it). repainted and detailed gauge cluster. new Autometer oil/water temp/voltmeter. tachometer with shift light and recall.   The heater box has all new seals and a new heater core (though I don't have the hoses hooked up since I only drive it in fair weather).   PPI shifter. New OE Comfort Grip black steering wheel. 6 point roll bar.

 

OTHER: $1. 00. 00

                New headlight wiring harness. Headlights (HID Look) new Griffin aluminum radiator with auto temp switch. dual electric fans with dual 30 amp relays and manual override switch inside car.   Line lock.  Borla XR1 mufflers with Vibrant Performance Resonators.

 

WHEELS/TIRES:  $2. 00. 00

                Weld Alumastar 15x10 in rear. 15x4 in front (Satin black powder coated centers. Hoosier drag slicks and Mickey Thompson Sportsman SR frontrunners. I have always run slicks on my streetcars. as I don't drive this car in the rain. Have never had a problem with cops. Car hooks hard from stoplights with 25 psi in the tires. At the track it carries the front tires every pass with 12-13 psi.
