2012 Nissan NV

 I bought this 2012 Nissan NV2500 high top van as a clean slate and put 7 months of work into converting it. and lived in it for about a year after that. I just finished a 10. 00 mile roadtrip across 22 national parks. I am in the process of switching up my life style. so am sadly looking to pass on this van to its next owner.

Basics of the 2012 Nissan NV2500 itself:
261HP. 4. 0L V6. regular gas. 5-speed automatic. RWD. This averages 12/15 mpg. Weighs ~3tons empty. an extra half ton with the conversion. Additional payload capacity of ~2. 00lbs. 17" steel wheels. An aftermarket backup camera connected to video mirror. Upgraded stereo. speakers. Has manual locks. windows. Tires have never been changed. Given how new it is and mostly based in California. no rust to speak of. The NV2500 is based on the Nissan Titan. so great in terms of both reliability and parts.

To the van itself. I added $500 SuperSprings Leaf Springs. which improve the suspension quite a bit. handles better. There's also a $150 2" hitch added.

The Conversion:
I went for a no-expense barred conversion.

There is about $2000 of insulation in the walls. floors. and ceilings. This includes sound insulation (RAAM. Dynamat. Second Skin. Cascade). Also includes radiant and convective heat insulation (Prodex with proper air gaps. Aerogel Spaceloft).

The van is powered by 2 160W solar panels that feed a 600AH AGM battery bank. Top of the line MPPT battery controller. and a remote monitor. 2000W Pure Sine Inverter for the power outlets in the back.

Interior foundations are MDF walls with a fabric wall covering. Engineered oak hardwood floors. Oak countertop. Oak backsplash. IKEA Ringhult Cabinets. handleless high gloss white held shut by electromagnetic locks.

Amenities include a $1200 12V 122L Isotherm refrigerator with Danfloss compressor. Ventilation via a Maxxfan Deluxe (pictures show a Fantastic Fan - it has since been changed out - the Maxxfan is much better). A modern sink and faucet which are hooked up to 5 gallon clean and grey water tanks.

All in all. the van itself is still worth $15. 00 on Kelley Blue Book. and I put in another 5 figures on the conversion itself. and a few hundred hours of labor.
