1989 Jeep Cherokee 4dr LIMITED

This Original Survivor with 90. 00 original miles has been meticulously maintained mechanically.  She just traveled from So Cal to S. Texas in the heat of summer without a hickup.  A/C blows Ice Cold.  28 yrs old and has the patina to show it yet is surprisingly crisp because she spent 12 years in a closed storage unit.  Exhaust manifold replaced as they crack and leak.  Yokohama Geolander 30X9. 5R15 tires give incredible traction both on road and off road.  They also provided a 3 inch lift just by changing the tires.  Passenger seat has a tear. drivers door has a tear.  Dash is uncut and uncracked (has dash cover). and yes the headliner is starting to come down but is in clean condition.
New rear axle bearings because I could hear one of them with a slight howl driving.  I'm just anal about noises that don't belong in a vehicle.  All fluids (Trans. Transfer Case. Differentials and Brake) were drained and professionally replaced as well as the radiator was flushed. rodded and cored then a new thermostat and water pump installed along with a new harmonic balancer and serpentine belt.  Brakes are 50%.  
Runs and drives straight and true. very strong drive train.  Selec Trac 4 wheel drive provides asymmetrical 4 wheel drive for on road nearly identical to subaru and traditional locking (auto on the fly) 4x4 offroad with locking front differential and limited slip rear diff.  hi/lo range and neutral to be towed behind a motorhome if you like.  Factory tow pack with upgraded cooling system.  
This is my 8th XJ Cherokee and by far the cleanest and strongest one I've ever had.  I'm selling it because I have three vehicles and can only drive one at a time.  She'll take you to NEW YORK in the middle of winter or Arizona in the middle of Summer and anyplace in between you would like to explore.
Body is clean and paint (Original) is still shiny.  The only dent is the rear bumper where someone backed into a pole at low speed.  No damage to tailgate.  No Rust on the undercarriage or rocker.  Two small spots emerging one under the lower windshield moulding drivers side.  The other on the grille above the front bumper drivers side.  Both just now showing brown on the paint.
This IS a daily driver of the highest quality for a 28 yr old truck.  She has taken me into some very cool places off the beaten path and never gotten stuck.  If I had the space I'd keep her forever. I'm going to miss this one and you are getting a very strong solid clean vehicle for her year.  This is prior to all the computerized technology so she's still relatively easy to diagnose and repair for the shade tree mechanic or the certified mechanic at a much lesser cost than vehicles today.  Parts are readily available and interchangeable with many years of this Jeep.
This IS a FANTASTIC VEHICLE that will deliver in my opinion years of reliable service for another couple hundred thousand miles as these 4. 0's are famous for running 300. 00 miles.
This vehicle was 4x4 of the year for very good reasons. now you can enjoy them for a fraction of the $34. 00 original MSRP.
