1940 LaSalle Series 52 Sedan Convertible Original Cadillac Excellent condition

This is the first time this incredible LaSalle is being offered for sale. The last year for Harley Earl's Cadillac LaSalle model. It is believed only 75 of the 1940 Series 52 LaSalle Sedan convertibles were ever produced and very few remaining.  This is a rare preservation class. all original automobile.  The incredible LaSalle still sports its original Oxblood Maroon color paint. Most of which. is the vintage original lacquer style.  It shows absolutely wonderful. with a nice deep shine and few imperfections. I had the hood (Inside and out) and side mounts repainted. It is an exact color match to the rest of the body.  An extremely solid automobile. It has always been a favorite within our private collection. The panel fit and finish shows exceptional for the 1940 Series 52 convertible.  No patch panels. no evidence of the body ever being hit or repaired. no replaced floor pans. They are all in excellent condition with no rust issues what so ever.

This Series 52 LaSalle sedan convertible boasts its original. detailed flat head V-8. nbsp;attached to its original three speed column shift transmission.  The engine was completely rebuilt by renowned flat head rebuilder Pete Peterson.  It runs flawless! No smoke or any problems. VIN is correctly stamped on the block and will be sold with a clear Arizona title.  Transmission shifts with ease. just like it should. Brakes are very good and work as they should. Over all. this 1940 LaSalle Series 52 drives as well as she looks. The pictures present the car as it is. Beautiful!

The canvas top fits excellent with no flaws. It is new. with a very nice black boot. The LaSalle tops were manual. which is nice. The glass and windshield are in very good condition. all around. including the rear glass convertible window. The interior is in excellent shape with no tears. It is a black leather. Windows roll up and down the way they should. Clear gauge cluster that works well. other than the clock and radio. Doors open and shut perfectly.  Radiator is in great shape. Never runs hot. even within our dry climate. New battery.  Electrical is fine. The front suspension drives nice. nbsp;tight and straight. nbsp;with no road wandering.

The under carriage of the LaSalle is clean. All frame rails and floor panels with no rust at all. It has not been spray bombed to hide anything. Personally. that's how I like it. You see everything in its true state of presentation. It has not been detailed. however. as mentioned is very clean and honest without issues.   

All said. this is a great opportunity to own an investment quality. rare LaSalle Series 52 Sedan Convertible.  It is comparably. reasonably priced for the "Buy it Now". Buy with confidence.
