  1970 Dodge ChallengerPlum Crazy - FC7
NO RESERVE Thank you for viewing my 1970 Dodge Challenger. this is one of the High Impact Colors for 1970. factory FC7 Plum Crazy. offered on 1970-71 model years.   This car is a good project for someone. I show a picture of the option tag. but in general the main options are Buck Seats. Console. 318 V8. nbsp;AT. Vinyl Top. Disc Brakes. Exterior Trim package. and Plum Crazy.    I have included a ton of pictures. probably more then most would show for a project car. but when I sell something. I want to be able to get a good look at what you are buying.   The nice thing about this car there is really nothing to hide. it is what it is. the good and the bad.   The best thing about it. is that Structurally it has really good bones.    It does have a free and clean title.   1970 Challenger's are one of my favorite cars. the 1971-74. look great. but there is just something about 1970. the grill area. and the rear end just look awesome. pretty much I think Dodge thought the same thing when they brought out the new Challenger as well.   I absolutely love the tail lights. and reverse lights going across the whole rear of the car.   I used to have a 1970 SE car and just loved it. anyways. please read on for more information.  The Frame rails are in very good shape. you will see this in the pictures. I show a lot of pictures of the car underneath. and all the frame rails. front and back are in great shape. no rust holes or weak spots in them.   The car does have rust. look at the pictures. and will need repairs.   It needs a trunk pan for sure. trunk drop offs look good.   The area under the rear seats. their needs to be some repairs.   Both rear floor pans need to be replaced.   The front floors. and seat perches. seem to be fairly solid.   When you clean up the front floors more. there may be some pin holes. but I think you might be able to salvage them. maybe a few small patches.    Inside the door jams. very good not rusty. seams very sound.   Took off the rear inner panels. and behind them the framing is very good.   pretty common there is rust holes around the rear window and it needs repaired.   Behind both back wheels. it will need lower quarter panels.   Around the wheel lips. there are is rust through or bubbles pretty clean.   In front of the rear wheels lower quarters that go into the rockers. look very good. very good rockers on this car.    The passenger fender was replaced a long time ago.   The doors. are in good shape. but the drivers side has some heavy bondo repair. you can see it.    The rear valance and front valance have been replaced. front one is nice. rear one is decent but has heavy rust pitting on it.    The grill area is pretty nice on the car. someone put 2 holes in the lower filler panel. probably for fog lamps.    Hood is in good shape.   A little bit of rust starting on the passenger bottom of fender.   You can see along the cars body. it has dings. and dents. but overall a pretty straight car.    Inside the engine compartment is very good. no signs of any accidents. the passenger fender was replaced do to rust. inside the inner aprons look very good. original core support with VIN. the cowl is very solid. and not rusty. pretty impressed with the basic structure of the car.   I now that it shows some panels that need replacing obviously but this car is worth restoring for sure.    All the glass is good in the car. no chips or cracks in windshield.   Interior. not going to say to much. but that the console is in good shape. needs a door lid.   The door panels are from the parts car from the fender. and those door panels are pretty nice. rear quarter panels are nice as well and are original.   No headliner. and I do not have any front seats.   The dash pad if original. but is cracked.   Overall take a look at the interior. it needs restored.    The car was last really on the streeet 10 years ago. The engine is a 360. from the part number on the bottom of the engine. believe that the engine was manufactured in 1970. there is a code underneath that says 16/70. part number is 3418436-3-360.    The folks drove it home. and parked it and would occasionally move it around their place.   I can move the engine over by hand so it is free.   The last time they actually started it was a couple years ago.   Engine oil looks clean. and all the water was drained out of the car. the radiator was out when I got it. I just put it back in.   I have not tried to start it. the carb looks in good shape. actually.    The folks I got it from. had just barely started to disconnect things. to take the engine out of the car. because they wanted to put the engine in another vehicle they had. but never got around to it.   So it does not have a starter in it. and you can see from the pictures. various small things are missing hear and their. a couple weekends. you could probably hook everything up and get it started.   So I can not say how it runs. because I am not sure. but they said it did run good. and was not blowing any smoke or oil. but that was 3 years ago.   But I assume it was good because they wanted to put it in something else anyways. the plan was to put a 440 in the Challenger anyways.    The transmission. I don't know if it is the original. and the rearend has a 3. 23 tag on it.    I do have 2 of the exhaust pipes that run from the exhaust manifolds. back to the mufflers. the pipes are decent actually. no mufflers. I do not have the tail pipes.   The brakes are not working either. pretty obvious why though.   It came from the factory with Disc brakes upfront. nice option. and power steering.    Overall. please take a look at the pictures. and study them. if you have questions please let me know before you bid.    I do have keys for the car. and it does have a free and clean title.  Please read the auction and view the pictures many times. if you have questions let me know I would be glad to answer them for you.   This is a NO RESERVE auction. meaning that I am going to let this car go for the highest bid.   Thanks.
