1946 Ford Delivery custom truck. This is the first year for the Hackney bodied delivery. still in business today. The custom build includes a ten inch chop out of the roof. Modern Chrysler running gear and suspension with original frame.
The Ford delivery has power steering and the Chrysler torsion bar front suspension grafted onto the original Ford frame. The engine is a 318 2 bbl and the transmission is a Chrysler automatic overdrive. The rearend is Chrysler. Disk brakes up front. drum in rear.
The Ford's name is Milky. She drives down the road at freeway speeds and tracks like a modern vehicle. Due to the ten inch chop wind is not a factor and very stable. Milky weighs in at 5200 lbs. Milky is petite and is 66 inches wide. 76 inches tall and under 16 feet in length.
Both the body and frame are solid. Most of the paint is original. The side door is automated with a remote for opening and closing. The heater is has extra capacity and very comfortable on cold winter days. The wipers are aftermarket jeep wipers. Doors and window lockup to secure the contents of the truck.
Milky is looking for a good home and not to fussy about the accommodations.
