A TRUE RAT ROD.

What is a Rat Rod you ask? Take all your spare parts you have. shake ‘em together and see what falls out. so here we go.

Take a 1929 DeSoto steel body. 1936 Olds headlights. ‘34 Ford grill shell. ‘32 Ford front end. ‘39 Chevy tail lights and ‘37 Ford mirrors. Shake and blend together till they merge together.

Now decorate it with a 1940 Ford dash. a ‘54 Ford speedometer. ‘32 Ford front seat. and ‘48 Ford steering column with ‘50 Ford horn ring. Massage it all together till it blends perfectly.

Add the heart and soul—a Chevy 327 with double humper heads and solid lifters give it the breath of life using a 1968 302 Z28 intake manifold. Then bolt it to a 350 turbo tranny with a 2200 RPM stall converter and shift kit to give it some legs via 8" Ford differential with 3:23 gears.

So far so good. right? Give it some direction using a Chevy Vega steering box. yea I said Vega. wanna make something of it?!! Fuel it with a ‘72 Chevy truck fuel tank and some really neat wiring.

Now we need room for some friends so make a big seat out of marine vinyl that will hold up to anything. including the dogs.   Coat it all in flat black paint and add Big Daddy Roth cigar chompin' woodpecker and flames and presto--RAT ROD!
