1988 Toyota Land Cruiser

For sale is a stunning 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 62. This may be the best looking FJ in the entire country at this point. Just spent 3 months of light restoration to make it really stand out. There is ZERO rust on this thing - so far as to have spent 1 k dollars replacing chrome that was pitting. Vehicle has an original 189 k miles on it and has been thru mechanically to replace or repair anything that isn't perfect. After that it spent 2 months in our body shop doing any rust repair it needed. and making the body perfect. Even these pictures don't do it justice - its spectacular.
Suspension and Underside:Transmission was completely serviced. Pan gasket and filter changed and valve body completely rebuilt. Shifts perfect. Better than any FJ I've driven. Differentials serviced and in perfect shape. Front knuckles and bearings replaced and rebuilt. Tie rods replaced and new. Fuel pump is new as well as POR 15 epoxy painting the entire outside of the tank to eliminate any future rust. Entire frame and differentials were POR 15 ed as well - nice shiny gloss black. There was no rust on underside - just typical surface rust. Bottoms of floorboards were left uncoated to show the factory paint on the floors so you can see they are in perfect shape. Shocks are brand new. Tires are new with a mere 500 miles on them. 31"x 10. 5" All Terrains. Drives perfect. Brakes are new all around and stops wonderfully smooth with no noise.

Engine:Engine runs perfect. New belts. fluids ALL flushed and changed. Everything works as it should and needs nothing. Perfect compression ratio and no leaks at all. None.
Interior:Very clean interior in great shape. Only areas of concern are a small 2"x 1. 5" tear in the driver seat (very common) and a small 2 inch tear in the driver seat side material. Easily repaired should you choose. The dash is in perfect shape except for a small crack directly in front of the driver behind the steering wheel. No cracks anywhere else and very good looking. Last area of concern is one of the removable panels in the rear cargo area is missing (about 9" wide) that allows access to the rear wiper bottle. New one snaps right in and can be had second hand for about 30 bucks online. Will help the new owner here. Other than that. the inside is near perfect. All other fabric is in like new condition. Headliner is perfect. floors are very clean and even have the factory removable rubber floor mats. Dash is great and everything works. Even though this is an FJ 62. it has manual sideview mirrors (brand new). manual windows. and manual door locks. All work perfectly and don't have the added problems the later model fj 62 s do with power components.

Exterior and Paint:The body and paint are A++++. Easily the nicest one in America. Toyota Medium Blue color with 5 coats of clear. Wet sanded and buffed to a perfect shine. Much better than it looked new! You can see yourself in it like a mirror. Just look at the picture of the hood reflecting the sky! Front grille and headlight surrounds are brand new chrome - no peeling like other FJs for sale. Rear tail light bar with Toyota logo BRAND NEW from japan. All chrome in great shape and polished - looks great. Door jams all painted fresh as well and trucks looks spectacular and as professional as it comes. Again. there is ZERO rust in this body. All areas that showed signs of rust or problems were repaired properly during 2 months in our body shop. If you're in Charleston SC come see it for yourself.
