1974 Travelall 200 4x4.

392 v8. 5 spd. T-496. NP205 Transfer case. Electronic Ignition. 4 barrel Edelbrock on square port manifold.

The Lineset Ticket (build sheet) will show you how tough this thing is. 12" 15 spring clutch was a last minute upgrade for the build.

Dana 60 Full Floating Rear End

Dana 44 Front End

Anti-sway bar on rear.

New: wheels. ires. umpers. hocks. SWEPCO oil throughout. rear brakes . brake master cylinder. park plugs. /c charge. achometer. une-up. ront spring bushings. heavy duty shocks. rear shaft u-joints.

Repacked Rear End wheel bearings recently. New seals in Transfer Case.

Runs and Drives Great. even at 70+ mph. Drive this thing anywhere.

4x4 works smooth like butter.

Brakes work Just Fine as wine. Front disc and rear drum. as from the factory.

Everything works from the Lock-O-Matic hubs to the dimmer switch.

A/C blows Cold. changed over to R-134a.

Both fuel tanks work. (Original valve bypassed for a valve on floor near shifter).

Front seats are from year older model as Original Owner did Not want high back seats. Was built that way as I understand it.

Included: All service records from original owner. operators manual. other factory driver side step.

If I'm picking this thing a part. I would say: Sitting idle at 700 rpm on hot day for a while will cause the temp to creep up (almost instantly watch temp drop back down. upon slight idle up or movement). I have been tweeking it slowly to get idle up just enough to keep it from creeping up when hot outside. seems achievable to me). It has a little rust below the windshield and behind the rear wheels as typical but no rust around the hood hinges and floor is in great shape. protected by the original factory undercoating (I did an undercarriage undercoating update).  The paint is decent for truck of this age. but has knicks. mostly under the quarters. there is a dent in the rear quarter shown in photo.  I decided not to paint it so to keep original but this truck is a paint job and cleaning from being $25. 00 vehicle. in my opinion. or keep as is and enjoy on a dry day.

Originally Ordered by an Engineer in Nevada. Milton waited 6 months for this truck to be built.  Included records show he diligently maintained it at an IH dealer for years.  I am third owner and have spoken to both.  Original owner suggested to me to change mechanical fuel pump to electrical so to eliminate possiblility of a failed pump dumping fuel in oil.  Thats how much he cared for the vehicle.  Second owner installed the wheels and bumpers. but wanted to restore a scout.  Turns a lot of heads but more importantly is a nice example of a Tough truck hard to find these days. Only about 2500 of these were built. of that only 800 or so had the 392 c. i. V8. Most were equipped with 345 v 8.
