Welcome to the sale of this very special & extremely rare one owner. low mileage classic.

Registered 7 th October 1975 By Ford Motor Company as their demo car for the all new MKII Escort which replaced the world beating MKI Escorts.
Car had covered under 100 miles as a demo. then was sold to it's one & only owner Mr Miller on 28 th May 1976.
It is the basic 2 Door Ford Escort MKII 1. 1 L in Carnival Red. *Picture 1 is for illustration purpose only*
Used by Mr Miller for 17 years and was serviced and MOT'd annually until summer 1992. when it was then dry stored & covered up for the next 21 years.

Cars in this condition with such low miles and only one owner from new are very few and far between. Please bear in mind she is 38 years old now. and does have signs of wear & tear here and there. However. all the usual area's of concern for these cars i. e scuttle panel. A & B posts. heater bubble. inner wings. chassis etc are in fantastic condition and have never been welded nor do they require any welding.

There are however some minor area's of concern being totally honest. If I was being a perfectionist i'd replace both rear arches as they are both showing signs of wear and have rusted. The passenger side front wing in its past looks as if it has had a repair but not to the highest standard. that would be replaced or repaired to a much better standard. Both wells (spare wheel & fuel) would also be replaced to make car perfect. This is by no means a rot box. its actually very minor rust/damage & a very easy repair.

Interior:

All the seats. door cards. carpet. roof lining. dash etc are all in perfect condition. hard to believe this car is 38 years old. All electrics work perfectly also. speedo. temp gauge. lights. indicators. heater all perfect working order. It also has the original FORD Radio & YES. she still works fine.

Exterior:

All 4 wheels are in cracking condition with just signs of light surface rust and all complete with original centre caps and plastic nut covers intact.

Inner wings are perfect and strut tops are also in fantastic condition with drivers side still clearly showing its chassis numbers. Both chassis plate's (VIN) and colour VIN (states CARNIVAL RED) are present and in excellent condition.

The floors and boot floor area's are also in fantastic condition. never welded nor do they require any welding. All window seals & rubbers etc are perfect and are not perished like most others. Windows operate smoothly as they should with no issues. as do all the door locks. boot lock. ignition all on 1 key (rare)

This car had sat for over 20 years. we have just replaced the points plugs etc and put fresh fuel in. put on a temp battery as original had basically packed in and she fired over 1 st turn of the key. WOW I hear you saying lol. but's its all so very true.

This car is not concourse but its by no means a dog either! With a little TLC she can be made as new again with very little cost (as seen in picture 1). Perfect for a restoration project over the winter. or an ideal solid base for an immaculate build GP 4 Rally Car!!! She drives spot on & stops but would recommend full brake overhaul as they are binding due to being sat for so long.

To sum up this car. its a cracking little find and deserves a good home with someone who has the time to bring her back to her former glory and believe me. it wont take much effort or money to do so. Soon to be a true classic & soon to be TAX exempt.

Comes with Original FORD Keys with Aerial key. Original Blue 1975 V 5 Log Book. 14 previous MOT's from its 1 st in 1978 to its last in 1992. and the Original FORD Operation & Care Booklet. Original Spare Wheel. Jack. Wheel Brace & Hessian Bag for Tools.

I am open to all sensible offers but please. no idiots who think they will steal this car cheap as it wont happen. I know what she is worth! If I don't get what I want for her as she is. I will do the little work myself and have all the pleasure of driving her in the coming summer months. I have been to see how it was going at the garage and to check the underside fully whilst on ramps. WOW This car is SOLID on the underside. with very light surface rust here and there only! Have been advised that if the fuel & brake lines were changed. and done 1 patch weld (or repair kit) on the spare wheel well. and change the tyres/brakes. this car would go thru its MOT. SUPERB. Has all fresh oils (engine. gearbox. diff) all fresh coolants etc. She purrs and drives along like a 1 year old 10. 00 m car.
