Selling my all steel 1947 Ford Coupe. This car was built to drive and has proven to be very reliable. Car turns heads everywhere we go. Pictures. ideos. uestions are always being taken and asked when we stop. Car runs drives and stops as it should No suprises. We drive it on the freeway all the time will run 70 all day. A lot of planning and thoughts went into building this car. Goal was to have a car we could jump in and drive anywhere and fix anywhere if we needed to. Without special tools and with parts available at any Parts store or tire shop throughput the county. We have never had to fix car on side of the road yet. But it could be done without any drama whatsoever. Few details include. 15 x 8 corvette rally's on the rear with 15 x 5 on front both front and rear set of tires are like new. Has Ford flat caps that set wheels off nicely after they were painted satin black . Chassis has a Malibu front subframe with power disc brakes. 0 bolt reared with leaf springs (freeway gear). irewall Back is all original chassis with all original body mounts and rubbers. It has power steering and power brakes the Drivetrain is Chevy 350/350 very mild. Will run on whatever gas you can throw at it. Dash is uncut original with VDO Vintage style electric gauges also a tach where the clock used to be. Dash and firewall are nice satin black. Dash pieces and window garnishments are chrome. Tilt steering column with banjo steering wheel ignition key is in column. All windows roll up down and lock as they should. Rubber and felts are all brand new as well as wing window handles. ront bench seat has been recovered and original rear seat has been recovered with an Indian Blanket. Floors have been covered with Dynamat to keep heat and noise down. Under hood and trunk have been detailed nicely with trunk being carpeted and is completely usable. All brake lines fuel lines were new and it has a painless wiring harness and fuse box with 1-wire 12 volt alternator. It has a large late model radiator hidden under sheet metal with electric Derale fan and Automatic thermostat switch runs cool even in rush hour traffic. Outside of car is REAL 70 year old patina and car is super solid not a rust bucket. I wouldn't paint car for any reason in the world but that is your choice. These cars are selling for staggering amounts of money with slick shiny paint. Drive car anywhere you want to go the way it is or add carpet and paint and have a trailer queen. I am only selling this car because honestly I have done everything I have wanted to with it and it's done as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't change a thing and I built this car before they were called Ratrods and they were just called cool. I've been involved with this car for about 10 years and I'm just ready to build something else. I would drive this car anywhere. With that being said no it's not new and don't list it as such. I encourage you to look at the car in person if at all possible. This car is sold as is where is and doesn't include any kind of guarantee other than it's cool.
