Up for auction is my very clean and unique 62' Lincoln Continental. Beautiful example of a well kept California rust-free classic. Sat in storage for decades before restoration began a few years ago. I get compliments and turn heads wherever I drive it. A definite attention getter and conversation starter. Factory 430ci has been rebuilt with new Ford heads and smooth shifting C-6 trans. $6k invested on the engine and trans rebuild alone (invoice included). Driven less than 2k miles since the rebuild. Car now has electronic ignition so it starts right up even if it's been sitting for a while. Runs like a dream and feels like you're riding on a cloud. Suspension. power steering. and power brakes are all in perfect working condition. Large car but very easy to drive and has lots of power! All the trim and glass are original to the car. Some things have been re-chromed but most of it is still original and in good shape. All 4 power windows work fine. A/C compressor was removed at time of engine rebuild but I still have it. Air blower inside car works fine and you just need to rebuild the compressor or get a new one ($250) for the AC to be functional. Interior is nice and clean with new carpet. headliner. dash. reupholstered leather front seat. rear leather seat is original and in good shape. all interior trim is there and looks excellent. Trunk area was also carpeted and custom tire cover made with Lincoln emblem embroidery. This Lincoln has all original sheet metal and everything lines up great with perfect 1/4" seams between fenders. hood. doors. and trunk. All 4 doors open and close perfect with no sagging like most 50 year old Lincolns.   Never been in an accident and floors and frame rails are perfect. It's been re-painted once a few years ago and still looks good as you can see in the pics. Not a $10k paint job but still a nice 2 stage paint job that looks good. Has 15" chrome wheels with New wide-whitewall Cooker tires ($1. 00). Just had the car professionally tinted with 5% tint. The Lincoln also has original black & gold CA plates which coincidentally end with the number 62 just like the year. Don't really have to sell it but I just got my hands on a 63 convertible I'd like to begin restoring so if I wanna get the ball rolling on my new project I have to free up some money.
