1981 Ferrari 308 GTS with 16" Euro Wheels

Rust free 1981 Ferrari 308 GTSi with 16” Euro wheels.   I have owned this car for 9 years.   I purchased it from Ben Millermon. the engineer of the Millermon Mallory Unilite single distributor electronic ignition conversion for Ferraris. which this car has.   I have all of the paperwork he supplied to me from the engine and transmission rebuild that he did on the car less than 5. 00 miles ago.   A new clutch was installed at that time.  Among the things that were done during the rebuild were to raise the compression ratio slightly to 9. 8:1 with custom Venolia pistons. balance the engine. heads were ported. polished and flow benched. the early fuel injection was replaced with 4 twin throat 42mm Weber carbs and a Dynaflow exhaust system was installed.   The end result is that all of the power lost to emissions equipment has been restored. and then some. to make it at easily as powerful as the European versions and then some.   I am including Ben's build book which documents the rebuild including part numbers. diagrams and photographs.  The car had a bare metal re-spray approximately 10 years ago to a very high standard and there is no rust.   Since I have had the car. I replaced the carpet and reupholstered the door panels and console in tan leather.   I had the timing belt replaced less than 1. 00 miles ago in the summer of 2011.   I installed heavy duty window motors. window accelerators. heavy wiring to the motors. cleaned and lubricated the cables and pulleys so the power windows actually go up and down.   I installed the Birdman Ferrari upgraded fuse block.   All lights and gauges work.   I had the fuel sender. speedometer and clock rebuilt. Mileage is believed to be accurate.  I put in new parking brake cables.   

Please note:  The A/C is not installed on this car.   The condenser is there. but not hooked up.   I do not have the parts.   The radio is not connected and is just sitting in the dash.   There are no catalytic converters and the air injection ports have been TIG welded up.   It could use a new seal between the top of the windshield and the targa top.   The power locks are disconnected.   It needs a windshield washer pump and tank. I drive the car so very little that the carbs tend to gum up and it needs a few tanks of fuel run through it to smooth it out.  The paint may look perfect. but if you examine it carefully. there are a few flaws.

This Ferrari is a hoot to drive.   It makes beautiful sounds and is a real head turner from any distance.   I welcome and encourage you to inspect the car personally prior to the close of the auction.   I am selling this at a “get it sold” price so all sales are final.   You are purchasing the car as-is with no warranties.   I will need a $1. 00 non-refundable deposit by PayPal within 24 hours of end of auction.   Final payment is to be made in cash or by wire transfer within 10 days of close of auction.
