MECHANICAL

Fresh Chevy 383 stroker.   We started with the high nickel 3970010 4 bolt main 350 block. 487X casting 194 valve size heads. aluminum intake. 4 barrel carb with off-road kit. HEI ignition. and hedders.   A 383 stroker is a 350 block with a 400 crank. We built this motor for torque. We estimate 350 horsepower and 400 ft lbs of torque.   This motor has power low to medium rpm range. it is one of the fastest Land Cruisers I've driven. will put your head back. With the 194 heads you get instant throttle response; I don't use 202 heads in 4x4's. This motor rips. I'm very proud of it. GM power steering with a variable ratio box (can be adjusted turn ratio).   Warn 8274 upright 8000lb winch with controller.   Toyota fine spline disc brake front axle with Warn hubs and fine spline rear axle.   Ranger overdrive. Toyota 4 speed transmission. Toyota 4 speed transfer case.   The Ranger overdrive gives you 8 total forward gears. Just depress the clutch and pull the lever back in any gear to get overdrive for that gear.   Radial 33/12. 5/15 tires with 90% tread. A good mix of all terrain/mud terrain. I sand blasted white steel wheels and painted them black. I like steel wheels for off-road type trucks (much stronger than aluminum). We re-wired much of the truck. new battery. Con-Ferr auxiliary fuel tank and stock tank.   New exhaust. and tow bar. Con-Ferr 3 in lift.

BODY

All original sheet metal. not a rusty truck.   Spent entire life in the dry high desert of eastern WA. The doors open and shut correctly. The paint job is 5-6 years old. looks fine but not show quality. We coated the underside of the hard top lid with bed liner for a durable finish. Seats in good shape. nice original floor mat. Door seals in good shape. We added a Yakima lockable roof rack. with hi-lift jack. shovel. ax. and HELLA slim line off-road lights.   This rack is stout and can hold a good amount of weight. Complete undercoat with POR-15.   New flares.

MY OPINION

I built this truck with the best available parts.   Price out the listed components. very spendy. The conversions are spendy as well. I built this for an outdoorsman to use; the paint is decent but not too nice to worry about bush scratches etc. Quality built truck. I spent the time on the mechanicals. the cosmetics are good as well but not perfect. Hard to find non-rusty FJ40's. during my drive testing. thumbs up every few minutes. and getting swamped at gas stations.   This is one of my favorite trucks.

I hold a clear clean WA state title in hand; I require a non-refundable $2000 deposit via PayPal immediately after auction conclusion. The rest bank to bank wire or cashier's check within 5 days.   Truck or title do not leave my possession until paid in full and cleared.   I have a shipper broker whom can get this most anywhere in the lower 48; out of country have contacts for that as well.
