1950 Chevrolet Other Pickups

I built this truck as a fun cruiser and daily driver . It is a 1955 truck with a 1950 cab . When the truck was disassembled the cab was crushed by a fallen tree. So it was replaced with a 50 cab and is titled as such. It is built on a 1996 S 10 chassis. Using the same 4 cyl 5 spd drive train. Runs and Drives great . I have put a few thousand miles on it . Recently drove it six hours out of state . Cruises nicely at 80 mph . Has a recent tune up and a new clutch .

The Body : new floor and bracing with new cab mounts fabricated . The cab was channeled to give it a low stance and use the stock suspension for a nice ride. Cab also has new cab corners inner and outer . Inner and outer cowl panels too . The truck shows great patina but is super solid . All of the patina is original except the cab that was replaced . The cab was covered in sound deadening on the interior . The underside of the floor was covered in bedliner too . All new glass including a V-Butt windshield. New glass run channels and weather stripping except around the vent windows. Doors have new weather stripping . windlace and sound deadening . They close very tight . The S 10 wire harness was used along with the instrument cluster . So speedo . gas. temp. oil and all function. The cluster is mounted under the dash in the center and swings upward and out of sight when not in use . The OEM 1950 gauges are intact and in good shape . They light up but aren't being used . No heat or AC installed. I have the setup from the S 10 that is included . Headlights with HID . LED tail lights with back up lights and license lights too . Turn signals not hooked up . Wiper motor works and linkage hooked up but not in use . The original steering wheel was cut down to 15" and installed on the S 10 column. The Shifter lever is the original one . Is like 3 ft of steel very heavy for the stock S 10 linkage will fall out of 5 th gear sometimes when you lift your foot off the gas .

Chassis is all stock . The rear end was upgraded to a 4 wd 3:73 rear with disc brakes with a rear sway bar . Stops great with 4 wheel disc brakes . The wheels are Boss 338 . Front are with 245/35 20 rears 315/35 20 .
