With the Morris Minor firmly ensconced as an icon of 1950s-60s British motoring. designed by legendary Alec Issigonis. who went on to enduring fame for his groundbreaking work on the Mini. Featuring rack-and-pinion steering and an independent front suspension with torsion bars. the Minor quickly gained acclaim for its precise handling and excellent driving dynamics. which belied its economy market position. The brilliant Minor proved to be the more sophisticated English counterpart to the Volkswagen Beetle.
