1969 Dodge Charger for sale
Current customer rating: (130 votes ) based onThis is a solid 1969 Dodge Charger. I am the 2nd owner. for about 32 years now. You can say it is an R/T clone charger. as I have done some mild modifications to it over the years. I made this car able to beat almost any other automobile I would come across on the street (within a reasonable budget). The car was originally a 318 CID engine. nbsp; green exterior/interior. The seats are original. just reupholstered in a black diamond tuck. can be changed back to original. Interior is now black. front hood is fiberglass . I didn't want to cut the original one up.
The engine: 440 CID – Balanced/Blueprinted. nbsp; Dyno tested by Kendrick Automotive performance machine shop. . 564/. 567 inch lift. aggressive street/strip cam. nbsp; 11. 5 to 1 pistons (if I recall correctly). Two (double) Edelbrock 600 cfm 4 barrel carburetors unmodified (1200 cfm). Welded motor mounts ( to keep engine in place). Extra deep capacity oil pan. Hydraulic lifters. electronic ignition. Summit electronic fuel pump/filter. Electric vacuum pump to operate power breaks and headlights.
The transmission : 727 torqueflite - stock torque convertor. shift kit and modified valve body. Slap stick shifter. Extra capacity oil cooler.
The rear axle : 8 ¾ . nbsp; pumpkin 3rd member. 3. 55 gears. posi clutch unit. Pinion snubber. heavy duty traction bars. Extra thick leaf springs. re arched.
Disc brakes on the front. manual steering gearbox. headers. tic toc tack. battery in trunk along with amp and speaker box (I like to go fast and jam).
The paint: 25 years old. painted in the summer of 1992- Lacquer paint. Most significant wear is showing (cracking) on roof where rear qtr panel is welded to the roof. There are no dents. and no rust. This car has not been washed or rained on in 25 years!!! Totally garage kept and sponge/rag whipped off.
This is not a show car. I only drove it a few times a year. It's not a tired car either. It is simply a street racing car/toy I made. This car has not been driving since 2011 only started and covered in a garage. This past winter the gas tank started leaking. I removed the fuel from the tank. The gas tank needs to be replaced. If I do it and start this car. I probably will not sale it after all. This is the first car…. I ever bought
Extras: Left and right front fender. front gill. hood (basically a front clip). Two rear bumpers. three tail lights. The original hubcaps off the car. An extra manual steering gear box. Part of the center console. and a few extra small parts.
This car has a clear/clean Texas title. original vin plate in window. no longer has the fender tag in the engine compartment. Two chrome pieces are missing. front grill above right headlamp. front window pillar passenger side. Things seem to come off at 114mph in a 45mph zone. Interior near perfect. elastic on front overhead seatbelts needs replaced. This car has lap and chest seat belts in the front. Few more pictures available showing more of the car and the extra parts i have. Any questions call me……. Chris 210 522-9193
