Owner selling gorgeous 1974 BMW 3. 0 CS E9 Coupe. Finished with Sienna Brown paint and tan leather interior. Original BMW close ratio 5 speed manual transmission updated the original automatic transmission. Comes with original Nardi wooden steering wheel. automatic windows and sunroof. Original alloy wheels with matching duplicate set available. Odometer states 97. 60 miles. Recent $3K engine replacement. dual carburetors. newly cored radiator. radiator fan. hoses. belts and more. All work done by Bill Watson at Road Rockets at Infineon Raceway or ABC Automotive in SF. It has extremely good power and smooth but tight handling. Recent $14K restoration to front end done in the last year from minor fender bender (rear-ended a teen-age driver and slightly bent the nose tip and grill panels - good insurance). All restoration work done by Jack Hunt Classic Auto in San Rafael. All original carpets in interior and trunk. This car was a very short distance daily driver. It was always well cared for and garaged. Third owner is selling. and it has always been a Northern California car. There is no rust on floorboards. front and back window corners. shock towers or any other area known for rust with this BMW model. Interior door panels and leather interior are imperfect. but dashboard and headliner are original and clean. This is an amazing car. I am sad to part with it. but the dirt roads and sea air where I recently moved will be too hard on her and the new exterior restoration work.  I have owned this car since 2005 and it is a very solid daily driver. It runs great. looks great and with as a little love could be brought to full restoration quality. Extra parts come with the car including two webber carbs. two distributors. one front side reflector. center grill. extra set of 4 alloy wheels. one tan interior leather door panel. bulbs. and a variety of other knick knacks that myself and the previous owner collected over the years.

There is no rust on floorboards. front and back window corners. shock towers or any other area known for rust with this BMW model. There is one small quarter and dime size rust bubble on top about one foot from the sunroof panel.  Interior door panels and leather interior are imperfect. but dashboard and headliner are original and clean.  Slight wear on rear fender eyebrows. 6 inch long by 2 inch tall shallow dent under trunk panel. Missing one piece of chrome trim on passenger side window.  Needs new tires and may need new front brakes in the next few months depending on how much you plan to drive it. This car has a salvage title from a minor front end collision over 15 years ago. before Blue Book value considered this a collectible car. Original repair to front end was very good. but recent re-restoration of front end is extremely good.

It is recommended that potential buyers inspect and test drive the vehicle before finalizing the auction. If your personal inspection is not possible and we have established a mutually agreed upon purchase price for the vehicle. I can help facilitate an inspection by your chosen local independent authorized service center. Ebay winners that choose to not inspect the vehicle themselves are required to leave feedback after their third party inspection but before shipping. This vehicle is sold AS-IS.

Payment: Cash at time of pick-up. certified check. wire transfer. All funds must be in US dollars only. Please make sure to have the full payment in place before making your final bid. Deposits must be made via Paypal or wire transfer. The buyer agrees to pay the remaining balance within 5 business days of the close of the auction.
Deposit: The successful high bidder is required to submit a $2. 00 deposit within 24 hours of the close of the auction. No sale is final until the deposit is received. Failure to submit the deposit in the provided time shall voluntarily forfeit the right to purchase the vehicle. The vehicle will then be released to other bidders or interested parties. Do not bid if you do not intend to follow through with this purchase or a complaint will be filed with Ebay.
