You can tell there's something special about this 1973 GMC C-15 Sierra Grande pickup. It might be over 40 years old. but this 4x4 workhorse has great panels. plenty of shine. and a comfortable loaded interior. It's truly a vintage pickup with modern appeal. and it's all for quite a nice price.


Any truck from 1973 with panels and a bed this straight is remarkable. That's why there's an appeal here that goes well beyond the 4x4 prowess and iconic Rally wheels. The Sierra Grande is an up-market trim level. and this one wears it well with a nicely applied shade of tan that's well-coordinated with the white roof. There have been all the right investments in this pickup. so the bed looks new and the premium trim looks like unbroken lines running the entire sides of this GMC. But this pretty boy still knows how to get to work thanks to features like the bright bed rails. lifted 4x4 stance. a trailer hitch with modern wiring.


Just like the exterior. the interior gives off a nice feeling of premium quality and period-correct style. The carpets. door panels. headliner. and the dash pad all have coordinating hues. andthe wood paneling certainly lives up to the Sierra Grande name. Also. when you look at the bench seat. you'll notice it's been upgraded to a leather surface with better bolstering for modern comfort. You'll slip behind the factory two-spoke steering wheel. and this gives you a commanding view of the full gauge panel (including tach) in the driver-oriented dash. This keeps great upgrades within easy reach such as the AM/FM stereo with digital tuner and modern R134a air conditioning. But we bet your favorite feature will be the sliding rear window. After all. you can just imagine letting the breeze flow through the cabin in this easy cruising pickup.


Under the hood is a 350 cubic-inch V8. Not only does it look tidy in the engine bay. but also the Rochester four-barrel carburetor and header package make sure to add power and rumble to this GMC. This enhanced V8 is especially helpful for more power when it's time for 4x4 duty. The truck has manual locking hubs and a two-speed transfer case to choose the right kind of off-road work.
