Here We Have the American Motors Company (AMC) Rambler Rebel Convertible SST this model car was only manufactured for one year and various websites state only 1. 86 were made. this makes it a fairly rare car. made more so because it was made for the Australian Market and is an original R/H/D
Finished in the re-painted colour of white with red pinstriping the paint is in good condition with only a few minor blemishes ( bubbles in the paint ) the electrically operated convertible top is finished in red Faux leather and the rear view window is in excellent condition. overall the Rambler shows fairly well (see Photo's)
inside the white with red piping interior is in great shape. the carpeting however. nbsp;does need attention. the dashboard is in fair condition housing the original gauges
under the bonnet is the 232 cubic inch straight six enginecapable of producing up to 195 hp the engine bay is fairly clean gearbox is a 3 speed automatic transmission. This car does not have power steering. but has power assist to the rear drum and front disc brakes. parking brake is pedal operated to the rear drums . 14" wheels complete the picture with Rambler trademark wheeltrims fitted
this particular car was shipped over from Australia to England where it has been used as a Wedding car for the last 18 years as it has had a falling demand of recent years and it has been stood covered and garaged with only a yearly venture out for its MoT averaging 15-20 miles each time
the car is not perfect but is a pleasant drive. viewing is recommended ring the Ansafone between 6pm and 8pm to make an appointment or leave a number I'll get back to you. but there will be no "pleasure or trial. drives" . Parts for this car seem to be readily available from the U. S. from a lot of suppliers. as most parts have been used on a large number of other AMC vehicles £100. 00 non-refundable deposit to be paid on purchase. so come and look first
So if you want an eyecatching uniquely individual vehicle. here's your answer. the reserve is set realistically (but not too low. one of these cars made almost 20. 00 dollars recently in America)
