1939 Ford Coupe for sale
Current customer rating:
This is a rare opportunity to purchase a car that has had a lot of the hard work done for not a lot of money.
This Ford Coupe is sitting on what I believe is a Pete and Jakes chassis that would retail for over 8000 dollars.
It has a torsion bar rear suspension and it is riding on a 9" Ford with drum brakes on the rear. the brakes are not complete.
The chassis has been painted silver and looks pretty good.
The front end is rack and pinion with disc brakes. also not complete brake system.
The wheels fit well and are Torq Thrust with spinners.
The rearend is narrowed some and the body is mini tubbed to fit the 295/50/15 tires on the rear.
The floor pans are fully custom built along with the tunnel and the recessed firewall.
The bottom of the car is painted red and along with the firewall.
The sheetmetal work on the floors and firewall looks good and has been done by someone that does decent work.
The motor mounts are sbc but you can change the pad and put a Ford or anything you want in it.
The body:It is a little rough around the edges. there has been some welding work that is not great but could be repaired.
There has also been some patch panels replaced that look ok. but again not perfect.
The rear fenders are tacked on currently. not sure why they did that but it's holding them in place.
The lower doors also have some rust but I do have the inner and outer patch panels for that.
Otherwise there is no major rust. some on the cowl an some inside the truck lid.
I'd put a large budget into paint and body work unless you can do it yourself. or the other option would be to rat rod it.
If you rat rod the exterior it won't need too much work to take a satin finish if you aren't looking for show gaps and body work.
Again. there has been a lot of money spent on this car but it is a long way from ready to hit the road.
I have a small pile of parts that are included but I'm sure there are some things missing to fully build the car.
Please feel free to contact me.
Michael.
Please bid only if you are ready to purchase and have the money.
I'll help load it and it rolls well.
The title is a clear Indiana title that is signed and all liens released.
Possibly open to trades but prefer cash.
