This is one of the nicest ORIGINAL PAINT. Untouched Survivor. 1971 442's available in the World! Born in Sunny Fremont. California.  This California Blue Plate 1971 442 Survivor is a TOP SHELF investment that qualifies as a GOLDEN SURVIVOR! Still wearing its ORIGINAL SATURN GOLD Exterior paint & Desirable original Black interior. with many desirable options to follow!

Folks. the body is impressively solid considering its age and the fact that it's never been welded or restored being over 40 years old! The body and paint are essentially a best case scenario for an unrestored real "344 vin" 442 survivor.  Super straight. pretty dry. and still displaying the original paint. stripes. and Patina! Make no mistake. it has its share of dings. scratches. and stone chips. as much from 40 plus years of life on Earth as from being driven over the 20 plus years it was in service.

Thanks to Mother Nature. this car has a Patina like no other 1971 442! The car recently came out of long term 20 plus year indoor hibernation storage while in the second owner's possession. The odometer shows 51k miles; however. I believe it has turned over but you can be the judge.  After some minor servicing was completed. nbsp;and original carburetor rebuilt by one of the most legendary mechanics on the West Coast. it now runs and drives good and sounds great. However. it will still need some basic wakeup work. i. e: inspect brakes. replace tires as the original Winston PolyGlass tires are decades old. I would change all the fluids. along with a more complete safety check. prior to driving daily.  Good news is. the electrical seems to be working. including the original key buzzer. It also still retains some of the original T3 headlights from when it was new.  I was told the original engine and transmission were rebuilt. This 1971 442 is one of the top of the line models for its time. It's guaranteed to be a standout in any event or serious collector's stable.

Factory options include: Fremont. California manufacture date of March 1971. 442 package. nbsp;455CI 340H/P. nbsp;Turbo 400 transmission. Console. tachometer. gauges. nbsp;Rare Factory Air Conditioning. Power steering. Factory tachometer. nbsp;bucket seats. console. nbsp;factory Hurst His & Hers dual gate shifter. nbsp;factory comfort steering wheel. & more!

It has the kind of patina that makes you want to lock up and foam at the mouth the minute you lay your eyes on it. To say the least. it looks super impressive for being over 40 years old! Don't buy a restored one that you know nothing about; they are only original once like this one!

Good news is the car is really dry. with a little cancer at the bottom of the front fenders. It also has minor cancer at the base of the driver's rear quarter panel. It has some minor cancer pin holes on the roof as the car once had a vinyl top. but nothing serious and this would be easy to repair if desired.  The undercarriage will surprise you with how clean and dry it is.   This is your window of opportunity to purchase an extremely well-preserved. special. significant. and desirable 1971 Oldsmobile 442.  It's Guaranteed to draw a lot of respect from knowledgeable enthusiasts.

The black interior is original and untouched since the day it was new. The front seats could use new covers and the headliner has some tears. However. the dash is in great condition; the rear seat. carpet and door panels are still original and look good for being 40 plus years old.  The more you look. the more this 442 will blow your mind.

Lastly. I'm handling the sale for a close friend who is an advanced collector of all types of cars and trucks. due to his limited time and busy schedule. we're looking to pass this one to someone who will take it to the next level. Will you be the lucky new owner? Good luck and Happy Bidding!
